Do Not Purchase
This product is poorly designed. The bracket clamp is not strong enough to hold the shaft. Everything collapsed the first moment (less than 2 seconds) I tried to move a 3,000 pound trailer on level concrete. The shaft bracket twisted from the torque of the drive wheel which in turn caused the trailer tongue to fall from a level position to the top of the wheel. The seller was easy to work with and allowed a return and a full refund.

Poor flimsy bracket
This could not move a 4000 lb trailer because the mounting bracket is very flimsy. The seller would not return phone call or answer through Amazon. To top it off I have to pay return shipping on a falsely advertised product that can't do what was advertised.

Mount twisted
Would not move trailer as the mount twisted. Had plenty of power to twist it.

Works great with a 5,000 lb trailer. Gravel limits incline capability.
This mover has made jockeying my boat around on its trailer much easier. I'm using it to move a 23' tri-toon on a tandem axle trailer with a gross weight of around 5,000 pounds. The area I move it around is fairly flat with a slight incline with a packed gravel surface on road base, as can be seen in the photo. The mover does fine as long as the loose gravel is not too deep. In those areas, I push some of the gravel out of the way of the jockey wheel. If the wheel starts to spin on inclines, I climb on top of it to add my weight to the 450 lb tongue weight for more traction. That allows it to go up a slight incline with a 5,000 lb load even on gravel. On concrete or asphalt, this thing would have no trouble going up steeper inclines. It is quite robust and does not seem to strain at all. It does move slowly, about 1/10 normal walking speed. But that is perfect for my uses. There are plenty of videos online to see it in use. Just search for "mini mover gen 2".One modification I made, which can also be seen in the picture, is I use two clamps to attach the mover to the trailer frame on the opposite side from the regular trailer jack/wheel. This way, I did not have to drill through the trailer frame, or risk drilling through electrical wires or hydraulic brake lines inside the frame. The mover comes with one drill-through clamp, but the super helpful folks at Novawinch sold me the 2nd clamp as a replacement part. A few extra nuts and bolts from the hardware store and it works great. I can't say enough good things about the customer service at Novawinch. They are not a huge operation, but very prompt in communications, helpful and friendly. One note for installation: The mover only comes with small lugs on the battery end of the power cable. So you will need a 12v battery and a way to connect the tiny lugs to the battery. I used a regular car battery I had sitting around and screwed the lugs to the smaller screws on a pair of off-the-shelf battery post clamps. However, another approach would be to buy a set of battery post alligator-style spring clamps and screw the small lugs to holes in the metal handles of the clamps. That would allow quick and easy temporary connection.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of this mover. Highly recommended if you need to jockey your trailer around a lot in a small space.
