I purchased this scooter about a month ago and am totally satisfied. The quality is outstanding. I am 6 foot at 295 lbs. the scooter is perfect for use at the mall, supermarket or anywhere where you have a smooth surface. The batteries are outstanding and provide good travel distance. It has plenty of power going up hills etc. I like how easy it comes apart. I found it a little tricky hooking the rear section back on during reassembly, but no big deal. I would not recommended this scooter for use around the house unless you live in a big house due to its turning radius. The three wheeled model would be a better fit for use inside. The four wheels provide outstanding stability. The forward and reverse control is easy to use the hand tiller is sturdy and easily adjustable. If mobility is a problem for you than you will love this scooter. I can finally join the family again at the mall or even cruising the neighborhood. I have a Honda fit and a KIA soul. Instead of taking the scooter apart I just remove the battery pak, lower the tiller and remove the seat. It fits perfectly in the back of the car with 1/2 of the cars back seat down. If possible I would give it 6 stars. Update 5/24/19 Still working fine all aspects. Only 1 complaint so far. I didn't notice until about a month later after purchase but there is a handle under the front end that was damaged during shipment. Been online and the phone with Drive support and still have not received the replacement warranty part always out of stock I feel i'm getting the runaround poor customer service removing 1 star. update::::::::: added 1 star. After 2.5 months I got my part and it is the right one. Still love this scooter just wish customer service could be faster shipping a part. If it was a part that left me with no scooter that would be bad. Overall nice product.

First off, this is a great scooter. I bought this scooter after major leg surgery to take with me when I moved from Florida to Georgia. My mother was able to assemble it on her own in about an hour. The scooter is heavy when it is put together but if you take the battery and seat off it becomes a lot more manageable. My mom and 14 yo brother were able to get it in and out of the back of our van relatively easily. I brought this scooter with me to Disney World and it did an awesome job getting me through the parks. I’ve never had the battery die, even after a full days use. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen the battery drop bellow 50% charged. I have also taken this scooter to the lake and it did great going up and down hills, over dirt roads and even through grass when needed. The scooter is easy to control, can go faster than a lot of other scooters, feels stable and holds a good charge. The only time I’ve had an issue was when I was going up a steep hill in the scooter. The scooter died suddenly and stopped midway up the hill, however the scooter didn’t slide backwards, so I was safe. I took the keys out and waited for a while, maybe 10 mins, then turned the scooter back on and it was working again. I think the hill was just a bit too steep. My leg was in a straight leg brace and I was able to keep it straight in the scooter. I am 6 feet tall and my foot hung a bit off the front of the scooter but it didn’t bother me or cause any problems for the scooter. There was plenty of room for my other leg so if you are tall and can bed your knees I think this scooter will work great for you. This scooter is just as high quality as scooters three times the price.

I've got a medical problem and I have pain when I stand or walk. I'm an outside person and have a bad case of cabin fever. I like to walk and see nature so I bought this product. I read the reviews and questions first so decided to give this scooter a try. I was interested in a fold up scooter but the price was $900 more and weighed more that I can lift anyway. This scooter is heavy also, but I'm happy just riding it from our house. The terrain here is hilly, but this scooter handles them with no problem. I charge it after every use though. My normal ride is about 1.7 miles. The charger lights have never been anything but green. The seat is comfortable and it's quite easy to operate. It seems to be good quality except that a plastic fitting, for the basket, was broken off when we opened the box. I glued it back with JB Weld. It may have been damaged in shipping. The price was very reasonable. The battery is heavy so I just charge it while mounted to the scooter. I'm thankful that I could find one with this decent quality for the price. The manual is easy to read and is full size. I really enjoy having this scooter to get me around.

This scooter changed my life, due to partial amputation of my foot,I can’t hardly walk any distance even though I have an orthopedic shoe fitted with a special brace, if I went to the store most times all the scooters were taken and I had to just wait until one was available, also because of a very low immune system I worried about germs, and I was limited to basically staying home after always leading a fast paced life, I loved to travel and go places and now I had several grandchildren to take places like the zoo or the mountains and beaches and anywhere, but I felt I couldn’t anymore my self esteem was gone, my independence was gone, there was no such things as shopping with my girlfriends and such anymore.Then after much back and forth I got the Scout and my life changed, I feel like “I’m Back” it so easy to assemble, it’s small yet adjustable to your height and all, I got the extra battery so it goes forever between charges, We just keep it in the trunk of the car and bring the battery in when it needs charging, it is so powerful and and fast, it never bogs down even on steep hills, my first trip after getting it was to Kentucky to the “Ark” it’s three stories and takes all day to see everything, It was amazing I toured the ark that day and then went to “The Creation Museum” the next day which also takes several hours to see all without charging the battery, I then came home and made four or five trips to the store before charging the battery again, in my opinion it is worth every penny.

Love this scooter, I have severe arthritis in my feet and used it to visit favorite sites in U.P. of Michigan. Great on all the state park paths and great for Mackinac Island. Very long battery life, used it for 5 full days of sightseeing before needing to recharge battery. Was so easy to steer I was able to take it on elevator at our B&B on Mackinac Island. Was able to take it on ferry to the island. Only draw back no place to afix an umbrella to keep out of the hot sun, also it came with broken front handle that was needed to pick up scooter, contacted Amazon who gave a15% refund for the inconvenience and sent me to the Drve company to get new handle. Great well priced product, won't need it much at home but it was a god send for the trip. I have paid in the past to rent scooters at Disneyland,Vegas, etc and all my rentals added up to 3 times what my scooter cost.

I am new to scooters. I researched them extensively prior to my selection. I am extremely happy with this one. I got the extended battery. There is ample leg room for a 5’6”, 130-lb woman, and leg room for a larger person. I assembled it completely by myself. I walk with at least one greyhound and she has ample room beside me on a sidewalk. It’s quiet. It wipes down easily. I got an excellent deal through Amazon Warehouse on mine. It has a wide range of speeds from very slow on up. POSSIBLE NEGATIVES: there are many sidewalks in disrepair around my home and some of them cannot be traversed by this scooter. It WILL go on grass but the ride gets quite bumpy. It feels slightly scary on inclines but only one time did I get hung up on a hidden tree root. I have never tipped it. No lights for nighttime or dusk. It may be difficult to break down and transport for some. I would definitely buy it again as positives far outweigh negatives.

Everything is to like about this scooter. It meets all expectations. The top speed is faster than you want to go in a grocery store. It's quiet. With the battery removed, I have no trouble getting it on a carrier behind my Tacoma truck. But, I have been trying to find out Is there a way to put the battery in without removing the chair. I can't do it. Is there a secret. With the chair removed it isn't too hard. But otherwise, the battery won't come out. You must first tilt it up when taking it out. However when putting the battery in it goes straight in, without the seat. There is a piece of velcro between the battery and the body of the scooter to hold it down. It causes drag when removing to installing the battery. I took it off. There was supposed to be an LED headlight. It's missing. Wonderful price for a sturdy scooter. It won't turn in the standard supermarket aisle without backing up a few times. I hope this helps. If these reviews are monitored, where is my headlight? also, there is no charging port on the steering column as stated. Only on the battery box.

So easy to assemble, that was my biggest concern. My second, the battery life. And my third was comfort. We have a Nissan Rogue and the scooter fit perfect in 3 pieces. It literally takes under a minute to assemble. I've taken my scooter to Washington DC twice so far, while my family had an average of 22,000 steps per day - I was able to keep up with them, well actually, I was faster, it's been a long time since I could say that! I could, with great ease, travel the metro rail, the gravel ground National Mall, the museums and all the sidewalks of DC. Biggest surprise was the 1/10 of battery life used each day. I could have gone the entire weekend without charging. I was seated in it for about 9 hours a day with comfort. I was the shopping bag, backpack and coat hauler because I felt so sorry for my families tired feet! I'm only 66, but have horrible feet issues, it was a hard decision to come to, admitting I was unable to keep up with my family. I am very happy I bought my scooter and I have ZERO complaints about my scooter.
