Just right for my greenhouse
Just installed this fan in my greenhouse, and so far it looks like it will be very effective. I was especially pleased to find out that you can reverse the cable connections to change the direction that the fan runs. That will be handy when I want to switch from blowing cool air in from the outside to exhausting the inside hot air out. (A built-in toggle switch would have been a nice touch though.) It reacts instantly to the amount of sun exposure on the panel, so fan speed is constantly adjusting on days where the clouds are abundant and moving across the sun. It does run fairly loudly when it's at full speed, but I think that somewhat reflects how powerful it is. The panel is of considerable size but was easy to install on the greenhouse roof. The positioning of the panel is permanent, and you can't adjust the angle, although with a little DIY and the right hardware you could probably mount it for adjustable angle. The materials and construction appear to be very sturdy. Solar power!.....that's 100 watts that won't have to be drawn from my limited electrical supply.

Great product but installation should not be as easy as shown in the video.
The panel and fan function as they should. I purchased one with a 100-watt panel. The fan speed is more than sufficient to cool my 400-square-foot garage attic. Be aware that you might find it too noisy depending on the ambient. The extension cord is 16AWG, which seems to be at the borderline capacity. The instruction video shows the easiest but the riskiest way to mount the panel on the roof. To avoid leaks 100%, I used flashing mounts instead of drilling holes in the roof directly. Although it cost me approximately $200 in total for the mounts, conduit, and tools, on top of the product, I am happy that I did not cut corners. Update: The extension cord became hot, and plastic parts at the terminals were blackened. To be safe, I upgraded the cord to 12AWG with MC4 connectors.

Almost a good product.
Positive: Fan works - blows good air. Solar Panel provides enough power in direct sun light. Negative: Fan protrudes farther than shroud, so you need to build something to protect the blades and direct the air. Does not provide all of the connections for water tight electrical connections. if you dont want to burn your house down, you need to get the water tight connections - Or keep the solar panel indoors where it is dry.

Simple solar attic power vent solution
Works great for my 1905 home with gable vents to move air through the attic by the power of the sun! It reminds me of a radiator fan on a car and it ACTUALLY has some power when the sun is out and works well even when it's slightly cloudy. Been using it for two months now so if it holds up to the test of time I will be very very happy.

Powerful fan
Much more powerful than expected. Sunny days its very powerful, more clouds the less effective it is but still a great fan.

Not plug and play.
Expected a fan with bullet connectors. Check. Expected a solar panel with MC4 connectors. Check. Expected two wires with appropriate bullets on one side and MC4 connectors on the other. Not check. The Audiopipe 16 gauge speaker wire they included is wired as an extension cable with male to female bullet style connectors on both ends. If it works, it'll be a bad and unreliable connection. Definitely not water tight or even corrosion resistant. Would not recommend for anyone planning to use it out of the box. If you plan on throwing the included wire away, then it doesn't matter.

Disappointing performance and cheaply made
Overall, this solar fan was disapointing. It works, but it's cheaply made. The fan blade is unbalanced, making it vibrate and noisy. The fan housing is made of cheap plastic that is not sturdy at all. Advertised 2100 CFM airflow was suspect, but difficult to determine as the fan housing was very flat and the airflow dispersed quickly from the front of the fan housing. The solar panel has a couple of visible defects in it and max power output was <70W under full, direct Florida sun on a clear summer day; not the 100W advertised. The solar panel was also very sensitive to misalignment towards the sun and any shading at all - the output dropped dramatically in either case. Overall, this solar fan is not worth the $150 price. It's more like a toy than a serious piece of equipment. I don't expect it to last very long.

worth buying
I was a skeptic. These have been installed for a week and are running strong. So far these are as good as I had hoped for.
