Naoki Matcha (Superior Ceremonial Blend, 100g / 3.5oz) - Authentic Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder Ceremonial Grade from Uji, Kyoto

I wanted to start drinking matcha instead of coffee and chatgpt recommended this brand. I read a lot about some Matcha’s being very bitter but I don’t find this a problem with this brand it all. It tastes delicious, has a nice texture and I’ve been drinking it with both hot water or making a latte with warm milk. I use one teaspoon as a serving size and I’m sure it said one pack is 15 servings but I found it has lasted longer than this for me. Great value for money. I was also worried when I saw the green powder that it could potentially stain things but it doesn’t and is very easy to clean if I spill any.

I'm not sure if this is ceremonial grade or not, but genuinely it taste so nutty and amazing, very refreshing and can be taken with no need to add sugars eg. In a matcha latte!

I'd rather have this one than some expensive supposably good matchas. You really get what you pay for

I'm surprised by the colour and taste of this naoki matcha! I find it tastes well balanced and froths really nicely (with cold water) I also find the smell to be nice and umami, so their diagram showing its flavours are accurate. The only thing I would debate on is the price (£10 for 30g can seem affordable, but when you compare to other matchas in the market with a similar price, you may find more value and more grams with others that have similar taste such as MatchaEco and Heapwells)

Really good matcha brand and it’s super affordable compared to others i’ve tried. Would definitely recommend and be repurchasing. As seen in my video, the colour is a vibrant shade of green too and tastes amazing, even without any sweeteners or syrups.

Delicious! I love this matcha! It has a lovely texture and blends well. I can’t give a comment really on smell as I really don’t like the smell of any matcha while I’m whisking it! I particularly love it in an iced coconut milk latte with a little agave.

This was my first time buying matcha to make at home after spending ages reading reviews and suggestions—and I’m so glad I chose this one! The quality is amazing, it mixes smoothly, and the taste is rich without being bitter. I’ve been loving it in my iced lattes, and it’s quickly become a part of my daily routine. So happy with this purchase and will definitely be ordering again!

It’s pretty good but not the best

This stuff is smooth. No hint of bitterness in sight. Its so smooth I actually preferred to mix it 50/50 with Jade Leaf in my Matcha lattes. Its just amazing Matcha.. so good I started occasionally drinking it by itself not as a latte... the flavors present in just the tea (no milk, no sugar, etc) is insane. Umami, savory, very minimal mineral/bitter tastes. So if you like mineral tasting matcha, try Dens tea Restaurant Matcha... it has a very strong mineraly taste. This is almost the opposte. One thing to note, this stuff is so smooth and lacks bitterness that I actually have to use 3.5g instead of 3g like I do with Jade leaf... but once you get the strength dialed in it is MINT. I personally dont care about any clumping etc because I whisk my matcha with an electric frother in about 2 oz of water before adding milk or anything else.. even the matcha i had in my fridge which got clumpy from condensation didtn stand a chance... so if you ever have lumpy matcha.. its your fault, not the matchas fault. FYI. I dont mind the Jade leaf at all (for lattes)... in fact I wil gladly use it if its on sale.. but this is objectively the better matcha. If you plan to drink by itself, dont even consider jade leaf.. I am speaking specifically for lattes... Naoki is the only one you want to drink straight. But if you are a latte person.. either one is good quality and a buy again from me.

I was excited to order again because I loved this product before, but the quality has really gone downhill. The matcha is no longer vibrant green and instead looks pale and low grade. Such a waste of money. Lesson learned — always check the latest reviews first.
