HFS(R) Calibration Weight Set 1000g with Case and Tweezers for Digital Scale, Gram Scale-M2 Class Precision 8pcs 10g,20g,20g,50g,100g,100g,200g,500g

This calibration weight set is very well made. It was checked against a weight and trades certification set. While this set it wasn't exactly the same weight it was well within tolerance for accuracy.

For most of us using this we're calibrating a consumer-level weight scale. We're not scientists with their thousands of dollar calibration weight sets. So with that said, this unit is more than acceptable for what we regular people are using it for. It is the weights they state, so what more could I want? I think the price is great, and it works well for its intended purpose. Oh and the tweezers they include are not that strong.. They do not want oil from your hands to touch the weights (corrosion).. so just use a paper towel or tissue when you pick them up. Other than that I'm glad that an affordable kit is out there!

All calibration weights are accurate within +/- 0.1 g tolerance

OK, one of them had the handle fall out and the calibration chips weren't all present, so I had to re-calibrate that one on a laboratory balance and reform and force in the handle. Other than that, they were all within a few mg of their stated weight. For the price, very very useful. But don't expect high quality in other regards, but then you're not paying for it either. They make them by first making an overweight solid cylinder and chrome plating it. Then they drill out the end for the handle, but drill too deep for the handle till it's a little underweight. Then they put BB's and other bits of stuff into the hole under the handle till it is (with the handle added) the right weight. Physical tolerances are inexact so the handles may be lose in some units.

With great anticipation I ordered this weight set to validate two scales that I own. 1Kg was perfect for my needs and judging on their web site [...] I assumed the quality assurance would be there but I was wrong. The set I just received did in fact have eight (8) pieces, however, the set had three (3) 100g weights and no 200g weight. In affect the set is short 100g because of that (900g total). Since the weights aren't sold separately, I have little recourse but to send them back for another set and take my chances..... sad, time to improvise. As a machinist by trade, I would have expected higher quality between packaging and shipping quality control. Customer Service is outstanding! Talked with Scott at HFS and he has squared away the problem. I give them 5 stars for product and customer service.... will return to buy more!

In all honesty it's a really good bang for your buck for what I use them for the weights work perfectly. The tweezers that come with it or kind of useless they're just too chintzy and you can throw those in the trash. For the price I'm not sure exactly what someone is to expect, it's basically a standard case to hold the weights which to me is no big deal this item was a great buy and a great value for all the different weights that come with it. The scales that we use only go to the hundreds so anything smaller than that doesn't necessarily matter to us.

Please consider the price of this item as you read the following review. Using a Radwag 82/220R.2 Analytical Balance calibrated with an external 100 g ASTM Class 0 reference calibration weight (+/- 130 ug), I tested the weights of the items in this set. They registered as follows: 10g - 10.00159 g 20g #1 - 19.99577 g 20g #2 - 19.99664 g (top pin was slightly tilted due to being loose in the box) 50g - 49.99365 g 100g - 100.0078 g 100g - 100.0080 g 200g - 200.0068 g 500g - 500.00 g (This item was outside the measurement range of the scale and was compared on a calibrated centigram scale to be accurate to decimal places when compared to a 500g ASTM Class 1 reference weight). So, for the most part this is an ASTM Class 6 set with some weights having enough deviation to fall into ASTM Class 7 (IOLM Class M2). In other words, about as inaccurate of a calibration set as you can buy, at least with regard to ASTM calibration classes (7 is the worst). But, for the price it is a decent set for low accuracy (i.e., every day/mere mortal) scale calibration of scales that go down to centigrams.

商品は10g×1個、20g×2個、50g×1個、100g×2個、200g×1個、500g×1個と言う組み合わせで合計8個で1kgになる分銅セットです。 分銅の組み合わせ次第で10g分解能で使えるため必要最小限のセットと言った感じで商品全体の軽量化にも貢献していると言えます。 当方では最大200gと300gまで測定可能な0.001g精度の精密はかり2台で10g、20g、50g、100gを確認した限りでは、0.01gの桁でズレがある分銅もあったものの僅か0.1%未満の誤差のため計測器自身の表示誤差なのか分銅自身の精度なのか判断が付きにくいほどで、分銅の表示に対し「誤差なし」と言えるレベルの商品でした。 簡易ピンセットも付属しており商品自身は満足いくものだったけれど、青色のケースが今一歩で「落とさないようケースの裏側を持つと凸凹しており指が痛い」「500g分銅より10g分銅は小さなためケースを上下にしたり倒したりすると10gや20gの分銅がケース内で飛び出ている」と言った感じでした。 ケースやクッション材がもう少し工夫されてあるといいなと思いました。 いずれにしても分銅としてまったく問題なく使える商品のため総合評価は★5としました。

Great value for money. Well presented in a sturdy box. Have a smaller set but needed larger as not enough to add up to do the right amounts for certain recipes.

They arrived early and in great shape. Exactly as ordered.
