I used the stronger dilution suggested in the label. The chemical smell is not strong. I simply dipped a regular broom into the liquid, then wiped it around in sections. With an electric spin brush to scrub, this took off far more dirt than I even realized was there! I am so pleased with the results. Please take the instruction to rinse well seriously. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed in order to get all of that dirty chemical solution off the floor. You may want to mix a small amount to start. I wasted most of it by mixing the full bottle.
