The Wheels on the Bus (Teddy Bear Sing Along)

Yes, you read that right; the battery compartment now is blue instead of yellow; and on the back is a hatch that can be opened, albeit with the world's smallest Phillips Head screwdriver, and the three tiny AG3 batteries can be replaced. I bought them from a non-Amazon source for $2.00 for 10. Given how much kids like this book for some reason, this really makes it a much more attractive purchase; sturdy enough to last another generation, and now--so can the song.

I would give this a five star easily except for one problem. The battery died within a week of receiving the book and it wasn't used all that much (certainly not enough to drain a new battery.) My mother had purchased one for my 2 year old son at a Sam's club and we had the same problem so my wife and I ordered a replacement from Amazon thinking that perhaps the book my mother had purchased had been played with a lot while on display and thinking that with one coming from the warehouse it would have much better battery life. But as stated before unfortunately this wasn't the case at all.My son loves the book and he enjoys reading it with us, it's just unfortunate that the battery dies so quickly with these (and it appears there isn't a way to replace it.)

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This was a gift for my grandson, he’s pretty disappointed that this is the 2nd wheels on the bus book I got him that doesn’t work.1st one was used so I returned it & bought the new one, now after 33 days it doesn’t work. He brought it to my house today & I found that it doesn’t work, just 3 days after the return deadline.

This turned out to be our 8 month old grandson's favorite Christmas present!!! Of all his toys, he is most thrilled with "The Wheels On The Bus". In no time he figured out how to push the button himself to make the music go. Now, he can turn the pages also..they are thick and great quality, so even though he teethes on it, it is still in perfect shape! The teddy bear illustrations are precious and he loves to study it page by page and for all of us to join in and sing the song! Great Purchase! Can't wait to get the others in this series (Old McDonald's) for his birthday!!!

I ordered this one after the last one I had lasted 3 years and this one only lasted only 3 days. My first granddaughter, just loved this book and I wanted to share this book with my new grandbabies.

Ugh so we bought this used (bad idea) and battery didn't really work. I read in other reviews it doesn't last long anyway and it says it's not replaceable, so although it was cute for a second, not worth it.Buy the pop up board book by Paul O. Zelinsky instead (again, not a good idea to buy used since library copies seem to be ripped).

The book is a lot of fun if it works. However the button for sound does not work when 'brand new' or when the sound dies you have to puchase a new book as the button can not have the battery replaced. We have the London bus version of the book and bought this version expecting the sound to work as brand new, but when we received it the button made no sound

I bought this to replace the old version of this same book (you could replace batteries in the old one) when the batteries died. It was my LOs favorite. The new book came with batteries already dead and I had to buy replacement batteries. Super annoying. Also, the music is loud so just be prepared for that. Otherwise, my LO loves it and wants to read all the time!

Bought as replacement for second child after first got used so much the battery ran out.Note this is the US version of the book, although it does have the London double decker through the other pages (not like the cover), it’s a bit strange with two pages about the “the driver on the bus...” , presumably as they don’t have conductors in the US. Not a big deal, but look out for one with the red bus on the front if you want the U.K. one.

Was quite disappointed with this book. It was quite badly water damaged and whoever gave it to the original owner had written inside wishing them a happy birthday or something. I was quite disappointed but my grandson - who has seen this book elsewhere - on the other hand - was delighted with it. So was happy with purchase in the end!

Admittedly i got it for 1p but the postage was almost £3. The musical button does not work so my toddler was disappointed, can I complain for the price?? I guess not but would of appreciated being told the sounds broken.

My little girl adores this book. She loves turning the pages and listening as I sing along! She's only 12 months old and hasn't yet learned to press the buttons for the music but I'm sure she will soon. The only downside is that the batteries can't be replaced once they run out. We've played it virtually everyday for 3 months now though and the batteries are still going strong!
