I've tried several types and this is by far superior in many ways. It's a heavier weight and less likely to curl up on itself when pulling long lines. it separates from back paper easier than many other brands. it sticks to everything without leaving a residue if pulled off. plus all the positive qualities for non burn and strength when placed. this is now the only brand I will use.

Bought this to use for a steel shed roof over seams. It arrived right away and we put it to use immediately. I live in Louisiana which is a humid environment and had concerns about the tape sticking to the metal. To my delight I found the tape adhered well and could be gently pulled up to adjust. The tape is thinner than what you might find for air conditioning ducts, but is as described. I found the flexibility to be very helpful in applying over uneven surfaces. The thin tape also follows contours and is much more effective for this type of use. The paper over the adhesive surface is easy to remove, unlike many others I tried in the past. That shortens the application time, especially if you need to cut strips. This tape cuts very easy with a knife or scissors. It seals very well making it perfect for keeping out water from rain. The size is very good for the money. I'm ordering more just to have on hand. I do have a roll of the heavy AC tape, but find it very difficult to use compared to this.

I used this for a non-standard use case, which was for long lasting plant labels. I did not encounter any adhesive issues to black nursery plant pots but cannot foresee if they will eventually come loose due to sun exposure or moisture. There are metal plant tags that utilize indenting via a ball point pen, versus simply writing on the tag with a marker of some kind. I like this because you are not solely reliant on something that could eventually come off. With this tape you can also utilize indenting. I wrote firmly on the tape with a ball point pen and then traced the indent with permanent marker. The permanent marker came off easily with isopropyl alcohol so I wouldn't use this if only going to label with that. The most annoying part of this tape was removing the wax paper from each label. Since I would cut these into 2" wide by 1-3cm tall pieces, depending on the length of the plants name, this was quite time consuming. Eventually I realized if you take a corner and flip it forwards and backwards you could usually get the paper to separate from the tape enough to use tweezers or your finger nails. Any creases would come out when I stuck it to the plastic pots or ruin its adhesive strength.
