Very, Very Bass Heavy
I love this product. I was considering saving for the WH-1000XM4's, but I wanted a pair of Sony headphones really bad. So I bought these when they were $100 off, and I do not regret it. Great features and sound quality is amazing. Voices are clear, bass is very thumpy, and the volume definitely gets up there. I mainly use them for gaming, listening to music, and watching videos. I have no problems using these for any of these activities. The noise cancelling is mind-blowing. These are my first pairs of ANC Headphones, and I am very impressed. It blocks out taps and clicks and outside voices are barely heard. The feature where you can put your hand over the right earcup and it brings in outside audio I super useful. When someone walks in my room to talk for a second, I can just hold my hand there for the conversation. If it is a little more than just a short convo, i usually turn on the Ambient sound mode for eaiser listening without taking the heaphones off. The build quality is also amazing. The earcup rotation is very nice for when i'm not using them and can hang them around my neck. The hardshell travel case is super, super nice. When i'm done with them, I always put them in the case because if anything happens, they are very safe. Comfort wise, I am very impressed. These fit around my ears perfectly and do not hurt after long periods of time wearing them. When I put them on, I can feel the earcups griping onto my ears not too much, but not to the point where they will fall off my head. This definitely helps play a huge role in the sound quality and noise cancelling. It makes it so much better and just a much more imersive experience. Overall, these are very high-quality headphones. I would recommend them as first-time ANC Headphones if it wasn't for the $248.99 price tag. But if you ever see these at a much lower price and are looking for high-quality, comfortable headphones, these will not disapoint.

100% Real Review
I really like these. I've owned the Sony XM5s and the Bose Q45s, not counting the Skull Crushers, Marshall's, Beats Solos, and Soundcore Q35s, because none of those compare to the first two. I will keep it real here, these are not the 5s or 45s in sound, or design quality, but they shouldn't be. I paid over $300 for those two and paid a 3rd of the price for these. I got these used for like $86. The Sound Quality on these Sonys are very good not great for the music I listen to. I listen to mostly Hip-hop, then r&b, Soul, and Gospel when in the mood. These for sure bump. The bass on these are clean, crisp, and just bang. The bass is actually better than any of the headphones listed above. I consider myself an audiophile, I've always been into music and quality sound. Searching for the best sound I can find. The mids and highs on these don't compare to the 5s or 45s at all but they also aren't bad. For the price, build quality, and battery life, you can't go wrong. If you love strictly vocals these don't super shine in that category. If you love bass and want a nice clean sharp sounding headphones, that should last a while, these are amazing for what I paid for them. If these go up to original price in the mid $200s I would just spend a little more for the 5s because those are the best headphones I've ever heard from the ones I've listened to. For sub $100, for the music I listen to, these can't be beat. My one and only complaint, which has been mentioned in the comments, is they don't get as loud as I'd like, which is sad because they for sure can handle it. At full blast they will give you a great experience and the noise canceling is very good. Again the 5s and 45s are better at noise canceling by a small margin, see a theme here? But on a plane, I zone out, and am in my own world. Bottom line you won't be disappointed unless you want to lose your hearing at a young or old age I guess, and need honestly speaking, too much volume. I wish I had more volume but not by much. These work just fine, and it's probably a good thing they don't get louder because I'd listen to them as loud as they would go, that's just me.

Love the headphones themselves but hate the touch pad on the side
The sound is great out of these. Great lows and mids. Great clarity. At first I wasn't impressed by the volume and wanted it to go higher. I finally found my fix for this by downloading a sound booster app for my phone. Seems like the issue with volume level is something to do with my phone itself and not the headphones. The are actually really comfortable. I use these for both personal use for watching movies and TV or listening to music on my phone and also for my job. I work in a call center and am on the phone 8+ hours a day. Honestly I probably have these on a good 10+ hours a day and they don't start to bother me at all. They are SUPER comfortable. The only con I found in these is that the touch pad on the right side is horrible. It never responded correctly to my swipes when I did have it activated. It's almost like I couldn't swipe directly up and down or across but I had to do it more diagonally and that would work maybe 50% of the time. Then it was super sensitive to anything else touching it. The hood of my jacket would brush it and turn the song or turn the volume way down or up. I finally had enough and turned that feature off. Now that I've done that I have to be really careful of not touching the right side because sometimes when that side is touched I hear a weird static noise and it cuts the headphones off. Almost like without the touch pad turned on it freaks out when touched and shorts out the entire system.

I waited a couple months to write this review
Headphones are my life! Let me explain.... I've always loved Headphones from a young age. A Walkman was with me from birth it feels like. I Dj'd in the early 2000s and Headphones became more somehow. I'm a full time detailer and music is very important to me and helps me work. I've been through hundreds of Headphones from old plug in to Bluetooth and I've hit so many brands. I was earbuds for years until a coworker turned me on to over the ear 3 years ago. I took a chance on a no name brand and was pleasantly surprised. Cheap $20 headphones lasted 2 1/2 years and were great. Then I got a new job ,started making more money and had to work in a very loud shop. My $20 headphones didn't sound the same. I knew I was due for an upgrade and battery life was starting to go on My cheapies. I was put into a place like most that I had to upgrade and thought it would be easy and cheap but I was very wrong. I spent a week researching and reading reviews for every headphones. When I Dj'd my favorite headphones were my Sony Mdr-v700dj and paired with my Sony erricson Walkman phone in 2008 were a very sweet setup. I knew I didn't want to spend crazy money on headphones because wearing while you work definitely risk breaking them. So I ordered these with the idea I'll just return if I don't like. I hated them the first day! Sound was horrible, fit was tight, connection was horrible and I couldn't figure out controls. Went home that night ready to return and remembered reading a review about a Sony app for them. I downloaded it and it fixed all sound problems! Extra bass now worked! Connecting through the app made weird crackling go away. Still unsure of returning I brought to work again. I don't read instructions I grab and learn. I didn't realize it had a noise canceling button and just thought it always had it on. In this moment every sound was pushed out and the music was just clear and perfect. Extra bass makes it sound like a little subwoofer is in there lol. Waited 3 months to write a review so I could see if they are tough and they hold up well to my work environment. Happy to report I've figured out and really love the touch controls. When I was searching I didn't think I needed this but it's awesome and I'm not sure how I lived without it. Phone calls too.... my old headphones calls sounded horrible on both ends. These sound creepy good 👍🏻 like they are in the same room

Longevity
Have had them for two years now and the padding on the ears is the only thing that has been worn down significantly. The battery still work great and the sound it still amazing.

Years later still works
Had these headphones for 2-3 years now, still good quality. I advise to handle with care when take them off / on and leather erodes, so regular replacement of pads are necessary for upkeep. Love these!

College student approved!!
I am never one to write reviews on any of the products I buy, but these headphones deserve it. As a college student, I was in desperate need of a good pair of headphones, especially with finals week coming up. I bought these off during the Black Friday sale, where they were $123. I figured that I could justify the cost considering they normally go for around $250 and boy am I able to justify these. Upon receiving them and trying them, I have come to the conclusion that these are a necessity for every college student!! I have already had several of my friends go out and order these after they put them on!! The headphones come with a case which is very convenient for carrying them around, as well as the charging cable that fits perfectly into the case. Additionally, the noise cancelling feature is AMAZING for studying! The earphones are very comfortable and I am usually against headphones because my ears usually hurt after an hour of wearing, but I could wear these all day and my ears will not hurt. There is an app that allows you to customize the bass setting as well as the touch features on the right earphone, which is good for those who want to adjust the settings. Overall, these headphones are college student approved! These are definitely worth the money and should last for a while!!

Yes.
4 YEAR UPDATE: still going strong. Had to replace the ear cups since they started to split but it was super easy. Replacement set was under $15. ******* Man do I love these headphones. My Beats Solo3’s needed to be retired so I opted for something higher quality, but I didn’t want to sell a leg for better than average audio. I had high expectations for these and they met almost every single one. I really, really like the noise cancelling. They’re my first pair with it, so I could be flying blind on that statement, but it’s at least miles better than the Beats wireless earbuds. Additionally, these headphones are very comfortable. My ears do still get a bit sore after 6+ hours of wearing, but that’s obviously longer than most people would use them in one go, so it’s probably not necessarily the headphones’ fault. Battery life is also great, as I have to charge maybe once every week or 2 with moderate to heavy use. My only gripes with these have a lot to do with the build quality. Yes, I know, they were $120 on sale so I don’t have too much room to squabble, but the ear cups feel cheaper at times and the entire headset is plastic. I also despise how freely the ear cups rotate sometimes. I wish they could click into place after rotating from the folded position, but we can’t have it all I guess. (Maybe for more money, lol) Overall, these are really solid headphones. I hope these last me a while. These are great for if you really want the XM4’s or XM5’s, but $350 isn’t sounding too lovely to your bank account. That was how I felt, and I’m far from disappointed. Sony baby!!!

I searched so many headphones but all were expensive finally i saw this Sony headphones. Received quickly and sound is amazing you can connect with 2 devices. I contacted with my laptop and iPhone. Really every time no need to connect it's working automatically with both devices. Battery good too. And Base with the music is amazing you can adjust manually.

Best budget friendly "mid-tier" ANC headphone that money can buy
I am writing this review after a whole month of use. So do read till the end. I wrote few tips to improve the sound quality too at the end. Pros: 1. Good quality ANC. Completely blocks low frequency noises. 2. Very good sound quality (require little bit of tweaking on Sony app, see my screenshots posted above) 3. Very felixible, good passive noise cancelling through ear cups. 4. Ear cups are of very good quality and can support big stick out ears too. 5. Hard case for travel friendliness and protection. 6. Awesome microphone quality for a bluethooth headphone. Blocks lots of external noises for phone calls. Cons: 1. Less premium plasticy build (although it is very turdy) 2. Default equalizer does not sound great. One must tweak it or atleast use "Bright" equalizer preset mode in sony app. 3. It can not block high frequency noises that well. If you need complete noise cancellation shell out 30k and purchase XM5. Do not look for 30k quality ANC in a 10k headphone. Set your expectations accordind to budget. Tips: 1. For android users out there: Must turn on LDAC on your bluetooth settings. After pairing with this headphone, go to your bluetooth setting in phone settings. Then settings for WH-XB910N. There under the codecs option turn on LDAC. 2. In Sony App DO NOT TURN ON "Connect 2 devices simultaneously" option. It will disable LDAC and sound quality will be degraded. 3. In sony-headphone-app turn on DSEE mode. 4. In sony-headphone-app, for bluetooth connection quality, Choose "Priority on Sound quality" 5. I have put an image of my personal manual equalizer settings. Use that or modify it as your ear likes. If you do not like bass, reduce the clear bass all the way to 0 for phone calls. Save 2 custom equalizer, one for music/movie with bass boost, another for zoom call/video call/regular call with 0 bass. (Thank me later for these tips) These 5 setting tweak will change the music quality drastically. Check my screenshots posted above for guidance. Final verdict: Those who do not tweak these settings they will keep complaining about this headphone. But this is the best 10k I have ever spent on a gadget. S0ny wins hearts.

Overall Great Work-From-Home Headphone
I originally bought the Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones. Was not impressed to say the least. Bought these instead as Sony's are going to be good quality headphones - just need the extra $$$. Was 100% worth it. I use these as my work-from-home headphones. I use them for 6-8 hours a day. Used for a week so far. What's great about them: - Comfortable fit. They actually fit around my ears (not on top of them like many headphones). - Noise cancellation is decent. Low freq. are gone. Can still hear some talking from my kids, slight piano from downstairs, etc. but overall it's good enough and is way better than without. - I had issues with the Beats Studio3 in that they kept disconnecting from my PC. These Sony's never disconnect and actually have a feature where you can connect to 2 bluetooth devices at the same time! Very nice feature. The bluetooth range is really far too. I can be anywhere in my house and listen (3 story house with 4 bedrooms). #1 issue though is too much bass. These headphones are known for having too much bass and mids. The good news is that you can adjust the mix by using the Sony Headphones app. The EQ stays adjusted on the headphones too, so you can adjust the EQ then use the headphones on your PC, etc. with the adjusted values. After turning most of the bass down, reducing some mids and boosting the highs these headphones are more than decent. So, if you are an audiophile and need super-accurate sound quality then don't go for these. But if you don't want to fork out like $500CAD on the high-end Sony's, or are in the market for Beats Studio3 Wireless (or that range), then these are awesome. I will be keeping them and keep using as my daily drivers.
