i see salt is the second ingredient listed. how salty is this?

Question for pinch spice market. the ethiopian spice ingredients says "birds eye"... what does that mean?? i am a vegetarian, that's why asking.

Great question. Bird's eye is a variety if chili that has several names including African bird, piri piri and yellow cayenne. I believe the bird name comes from the fact that birds like to eat them. As a vegetarian you can rest easy knowing there is no actual bird in this blend.

I personally source all of the ingredients in this spice blend and everything is organic except the salt. I am not a certified organic business so I can not display organic on the label.
