what is the point of the purebred kit? How is it different than the breed + health?

The pure breed kit is used by breeders to screen there breeding stock for genetic health markers for their breed to help keep lines clear of genetic issues when planning litters. The breed and health kit has the added feature of determining the dog breed if it is unknown.

Does this test tell you if your doodle carries the furnished gene?

Yes it does I was very pleased with the results, but my dog my puppy is 100% standard poodle. That was the results I was looking for.

With embark’s purebred dog dna test what breed info is provided if the dna results show my dog is not a purebred as stated by the breeder?

And it will provide all the percentages of each breed that your dog has

Short answer, "no" long answer, think twice about doing business with this company. I ordered on Amazon and waited and waited until I got a brief e-mail from the company advising me that they were canceling my order and refunding my money. When I went back to Amazon this company was still selling their product however at a significantly increased price. So, if you use them be prepared for surprises. Oh, and their competition Oivet is no better, they offer service in 3 weeks and they have had my order/money for now six weeks. I e-mailed them and because of the delay I was told I would get the test results and a refund. 2 weeks later all I got is crickets, So Caveat Emptor
