Love it!
At first I received a defective one but then I had it replaced and this one works SO WELL. It runs a long time because it has a large capacity and completely changes humidity levels in even an hour. By reducing humidity it also reduces odor. Love it. I hope it lasts a long time. Big ish. Heavy to pick up bucket and pour water. Definitely put on the wheels to make it easier to transport.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Dehumidifier for Bedroom Allergy Relief!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Dehumidifier for Bedroom Allergy Relief! I can’t recommend the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier enough! It’s been a lifesaver for my bedroom where I use it daily to fight my severe dust mite allergy. This product truly feels like it was sent from the gods. ✅ Why This Dehumidifier Stands Out: • Compact Yet Powerful: The unique cube design saves space while delivering exceptional performance for bedrooms, and small spaces. • Allergy Relief: Keeps humidity low, making it harder for dust mites, mold, and mildew to thrive. My allergy symptoms have improved dramatically since using it every day. • Smart Features: o App Notifications: I love getting alerts when it’s time to empty the tank and checking up on the room humidity level when I’m not home. o Front Display: Shows the current room humidity level —super convenient! • Large Water Capacity & Easy Drainage: The expandable tank means fewer trips to empty. I haven’t tried the continuous emptying mode but have found no issues with emptying the tank every few days. • Noise Level: It may be loud for some, but I think of it as soothing white noise. The slight hum is worth it for how effective this unit is. • Energy Efficient: Energy Star certified, so it saves on electricity while improving air quality. • After One Month of Use: I’ve been using this dehumidifier for a month now, and it works perfectly so far. One thing to note: the water tank can get heavy when full. To make it easier, I recommend adjusting your settings so the unit stops dehumidifying when the tank reaches a certain level. This way, you can empty the water while it’s still relatively easy to handle. If you need a smart, reliable, and powerful dehumidifier for basement, bedroom, and especially allergy control, this is the one to get. Perfect for dust mite prevention, mold control, and improving indoor air quality. It’s truly a life-saver!

Changed my life. My apartment went from 70 RH to 50 RH in the summer. Worth it.
I never had much luck with dehumidifiers, perhaps because I was getting tiny ones, but in this new apartment where we can’t control the HVAC (except for temperature) something had to be done about the humidity in the summer. The bedrooms were regularly surpassing 70-percent relative humidity at 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, the living room (where the temperature controls are) had to be set to 66 degrees to achieve this effect in the bedrooms. There’s not much one can do in a rental unit when this is how the HVAC is handled. I saw this recommend by many sources I trust and I liked that it had a smaller form factor and could link to my phone app and Alexa (though I tend to rely on the app more than Alexa for this). It was incredibly easy to set up. I thought it would be a headache…but really, the unpacking is the worst part and even that’s not that bad. All you need to do is line up the top cube with the bottom, plug it in, and you’re set. My version (20-pint) even came with wheels that I ended up attaching for convenience. I did have to look up a video to make sure I had the wheels installed correctly but…that was fine. So, basically I set this thing to high and a target humidity (for me, 50-percent relative humidity in the summer) and it goes to work. Not only does it get my bedroom to that target humidity, but it actually is able to keep the adjacent bedroom at the similar humidity (this is due to the wacky nature of airflow and the HVAC in the apartment). Plus, if you’re nervous about it overflowing (as I was), you can set it to alert you and shut off when it is 25, 50, or 75 percent full instead of 100 percent. Moreover, with the smart integrations, I have an automation run that turns the fan on low at night so I’m not disturbed by the high setting’s compressor. Then in the morning it kicks back into high gear. Love this. It works, it’s fairly priced, and it’s easy to use. Hope this helps!

Great design but compressor failed in 3 days
I had really high hopes for this thing after seeing it highly recommended by Wirecutter. Their reviews have not steered me wrong in the past. However, the compressor completely died in less than a week. It was functioning quite slowly at first, taking a long time to get humidity down and not really capturing all that much water. After 3 days of intermittent use, the compressor gave up. Humidity was rising in our apartment as it was running. I realized it was blowing cool air and we could no longer hear the buzz of the compressor, so back to Amazon it goes. I was looking forward to the ability to monitor humidity control remotely without having to go look at the unit, but unfortunately the app is not very useful. The first troubles occurred with app linking, where for about an hour it was refusing to connect to my wifi network. Once it did, I realized this was much more a novelty than a helpful feature as the app is full of bugs (recognized as the wrong model and wouldn't display water level estimates, then once I manually changed it, it showed the estimates but still failed to update over time). There were several occassions during the few days which I was using this unit for where I launched the app and their servers appeared to be down. It would not connect to the device. Why even offer this if it's not going to work? It's a shame it's a shoddy piece of equipment. The design is quite clever. However I've switched to another brand's dehumidifier (and a "dumb" one at that with no app to avoid any extraneous tech issues), and within hours of plugging it in, it is FAR more efficient than this unit.

Quiet dehumidifier with good contols that works well. Responsive customer service.
Update: the unit I bought in October iced over and died in December. BUT, when I contacted Midea customer service, they replied the same day, asking for several additional pieces of information. Within 3 days they informed me they will reimburse me for the unit. I'm hoping the problem was a fluke, and ordered another one, as I really do like they way they operate. Midea customer service was 5-star in dealing with my complaint - a rare wonder these days. This is my second Midea Cube 20 dehumidifier. First one lasted 3 years, then refused to condense water. Motor and fan ran, but no result. Internet said probably the coolant, and that it was toast. Other reports said generally most people expected a dehumidifier like this to last 2 years. Mine runs constantly, and I empty once a day. This is fairly quiet, which is good, because it needs to be in my bedroom. Consumer Reports praised this model as being one of the quieter units. Chose the 20 because internet articles said getting a bigger dehumidifier may cause to cycle more often, which is harder on the system than continuous operation. Also, I have to carry the bucket to the bathroom to empty. Water is heavy. I can set the water level turn-off to something lower than max capacity so it's easier to carry. I have mine set on 3 (out of 4). Having a larger capacity container would not be useful for me. I can set it to run continuously, have a set point humidity shut off, or set it on a timer. I have it set to 50% humidity, and in FL, that means it usually runs continuously. Only problem is a design issue. Controls are on the top of the unit and easy to push. One of my cats will sometimes sit on top of the dehumidifier and reset it for me, and I have to go back and reset, which fortunately is not hard. Oh, cats! I find the compact size, ability to dehumidify, and easy controls of this product very good, and did buy another when the first one gave up.

Excellent Performance, Smart Features, and a Great Design - A Must-Have for Any Humid Space
I've been using the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier for about a month now, and it has completely transformed my basement. Living in a humid climate, my basement was always a little musty, and I worried about mold and mildew. This dehumidifier has not only solved that problem but has also made the space feel much more comfortable. The first thing that impressed me was the design. The "Cube" concept is brilliant. Unlike traditional bulky dehumidifiers, this one is sleek and unobtrusive. The ability to stack the water bucket inside the unit when not in use is a game-changer for saving space, especially in a smaller room or during the drier months. Performance-wise, it's a powerhouse. It quickly brought the humidity level in my roughly 1,200 sq. ft. basement down to a comfortable 45-50% and maintains it effortlessly. The 20-pint capacity is perfect for this size space, and the ENERGY STAR certification is a welcome bonus, as I've seen a minimal impact on my electricity bill. What truly sets this unit apart are the smart features. The smart control is fantastic. I can monitor the humidity level and adjust settings from my phone, which is incredibly convenient. The Alexa compatibility is the icing on the cake. I love being able to say, "Alexa, turn on the basement dehumidifier," and have it spring to life. The continuous drain hose is another huge plus. I have it hooked up to a floor drain, so I never have to worry about emptying the bucket, it's a true "set it and forget it" experience. The unit is also surprisingly quiet. While you can hear it running, it's a low, consistent hum that fades into the background. It's much quieter than other dehumidifiers I've owned in the past. Overall, I can't recommend the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier enough. It's a well-designed, efficient, and smart appliance that delivers on all its promises. If you're looking for a dehumidifier for your basement or any other large, humid space, this is an excellent investment that you won't regret. It's a 5-star product in every sense of the word.

Small Cube, Huge Impact
The Midea Cube 20-pint earned a spot in my personal Hall of Fame for hardworking appliances. When my home developed moisture and air-quality issues, this compact powerhouse ran day and night without complaint—like a tiny, determined superhero with a built-in water bucket! It kept humidity levels steady when nothing else seemed to help, and I could actually feel the difference in the air. It’s easy to empty, surprisingly quiet compared to many other dehumidifiers, and simple to control through the app—a lifesaver when I couldn’t be at home but still needed to manage moisture. Another feature I especially appreciated was being able to set the water-collection cutoff (say at 1½ gallons instead of 3). It made the bucket light enough for even an elderly relative to empty safely—small detail, huge difference. Sadly, my Cube has been through the same environmental mess I’m leaving behind, so I can’t bring it into my new home. But that’s not on Midea! This little unit did its job beautifully and then some. If appliances could retire with honors, mine would be getting a gold medal and a trip to Disney World. Thank you, Midea, for creating a product that helped me stabilize my home, health, and sanity!

Best I've had
After about a month, this is the best dehumidifier I've owned. The app is quick to connect and intuitive enough for easy use. Scheduling is easy, has all the typical features (high low fan setting, target humid setting, etc) EXTREMELY efficient! I've seen it take my apartment from 60 down to 50 in under an hour. HUGE capacity in the tank for the size of unit - unlike anything else on the market. I used to empty once a day at least, now it's about once a week. Fairly quiet. It's not whisper quiet, but on low fan mode it's not going to disrupt a conversation or make it hard to watch TV or anything like that. It sounds about half the volume of a house fan on the lowest speed. Extra touches that are nice include the ability to remotely change settings in the app, even when the unit is turned off (sleep mode), and notifications when the tank fills up. You can also set it to stop when the tank reaches 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or full, so if you have trouble lifting the tank when it's full, you won't ever have to. The only thing I can grip about is that it look pretty boxy - not as attractive as some other models, so if you want it in your living room and are really picky about that, it's something to consider. But for my money, the performance and convenience outweigh the aesthetics by a long shot - maybe tuck it behind your sofa or something.

Very poorly designed filters
Replacing my Bionaire PureQuiet unit which was sadly discontinued. The Midea does a good job but a little cumbersome removing the top section to empty the large bucket but the large bucket also means less times having to empty it. The noise level was important to me and is actually very acceptable. All in all it's a great unit and well worth the price. An update. I'm well into my first summer with this unit and it's actually much better than I had expected. I've had many dehumidifiers over the years but none would compare to this one. I'd give it an A+ if I could! Another update. The only issue I have are the filters, which are pretty fragile. I broke one portion of the frame trying to install it. Best to be very gentle when handling them. I managed to glue it together and we'll see how long it lasts. A replacement is around C$9 and C$14 shipping. An update. Thse second filter is now broken on the plastic edging, even after being very careful and gentle with it. This is after 18 months of use. So it's probably better to fabricate some kind of filter and mount it on the outside of the casing. I'm not impressed at all. As a de-humidifier it's great. The design not so much.

¡Te vas a sorprender!

110V NOT 220V!!!!!!!
The product works just fine and seems good. I’ve have it for less than a day now. I am only writing this comment because I am disappointed that the product in 110V which we don’t have at all. And it doesn’t mention that in the product discription. So I have to order a Step down transformer to get it to work. If I had known, I would’ve NOT ordered it.
