Lovely mixer
Edit: Coming back after 2 years, I still use this machine regularly and love it a lot. For the money, it still makes a great frappe... but you have to know how to make a frappe! For the initiated:1. Get yourself some instant freeze-dried coffee. I use Kenco Millicano Americano which all the supermarkets have.2. Add a spoonful of this, a little bit of water (maybe 100 ml max) and a few icecubes and beat until it's a foam.3. Decant this into a glass.4. Wash the metal mug, then add 50ml milk and a few icecubes5. Mix this until it foams up6. Decant into the glassObviously, if you don't like milk just double up the quantity of water. Sugar can be added at either stage. If you put too much liquid it will of course splash around... go conservatively when trying it, to avoid massive spillage.Original review: I've had a chance to use this mixer for the last 2 months, and it is really good at making frappes and other cold beverages. Stick in a lump of ice, your coffee, and your water, and it'll soon have it whipped to a froth. I was skeptical, I will admit, that this mixer could handle solid ice - not a problem at all however.A tip on cleaning: it's true that you can't remove the little mixer stick in order to wash it; what you CAN do, though, is fill the cup with water (soapy water, if you want), stick it back on the mixer and give it a little whirl. All your cleaning is done. This is a very good looking kitchen appliance, very practical, and at the price, very easy to recommend.

Makes good shakes
Given as a gift to my son, who is happy with it. It froths quite well and looks quite smart in the kitchen. Bit concerned the clip to hold the metal beaker may break over time.Feel is quite flimsy, but overall pleased.

Makes a great milkshake.
It makes a great milkshake but is a little dodgy removing the flask. You have to lift the whole machine up to release the full flask without spilling.I added some double cream to the milk but the machine seem to labour once it was added.

Not bad for frappe
Only thing that lets it down is the mixer tip is plastic โฆ..

Great for milkshakes
I like milkshakes, so I took the plunge to buy it & I'm glad I did.Today (13/09/22), I got some vanilla ice cream out of the freezer & carved enough out with a spoon to fill it up to about a 3rd of the jug. I then put 3 heaped tablespoons (next time I'll drop it to 2) of Nesquik chocolate powder into it & then covered it with milk, so that it's just under half full.I mixed it using the 1st setting, which does most of it, but some ice cream was still in lumps which is where the 2nd speed was used, to blend it out fully.I poured it into a glass to check for any remaining lumps & then back into the blender for 1 last whiskI'm now sitting with a chocolate milkshake, which isn't perfect yet, until I sort out the amounts of each item, but it's still much better than putting milk & Nesquik into a glass & trying to mix it by hand.I'd recommend this to anyone, as it's not expensive but does the job well enough.Just make sure you don't fill it up too much, as there's no cover/lid to keep contents inside.Halfway in the jug makes about half a pint :)

Very noisy
Very noisy!! Only used once so far. It was OK. Can't say I'd recommend it.

Wrong power plug!!
Gutted - it has English plug and can't use until I go buy an Australian one. Please make it more obvious in the advert that this has UK plug.
