Does TVG work with Roku (Amazon Prime movies/tv)?

I have a Roku, but most of the online channels on the Roku do not broadcast in Closed Captioning which the TVG needs to block the inappropriate language. I know Netfix (on Roku) provides CC but I'm not sure Amazon does. That's a question for them. It's required by law since September 2013 for online movie streaming to provide CC but it seams those in higher power will not enforce it.

Has anyone tried to plug Amazon TV fire stick to this with closed captioning turned on?

We have tried. The closed-caption provided by Amazon (and other Internet streaming services) is different than the kind of closed-captioning that the TVGuardian needs in order to filter the profanity. Hopefully TVGuardian will have a solution soon. Thanks,-Family Safe Support

Does this work for downloaded itunes movies and/or apple tv?

First, we really enjoy our TVGuardian Hd 501. It is connected to our DISH Network for our regular tv and movie viewing. However it will only work with the movies we download on our DVR from DISH'S video on demand or pay to view. Most movies will be offered at some point through these, so we wait to record them when we can purchase/rent/free view them through DISH. I have heard that DIRECT TV also connects with TV Guardian.
