Silicon dioxide (sand) is an ingredient... why?

Hi VRUM VR6, thanks for your question! :) Although we use silicon dioxide, it is in extremely trace amounts. We use it as a flow agent to ensure the product can mix and become encapsulated. Silicon dioxide actually appears naturally in many types of foods including oats, leafy greens, beets and bell peppers! It has a safe track record as a food additive, and it’s considered non-toxic - even at high doses! It is also used as the norm in almost all major supplement brands! Both the USDA and the Food and Drug Administration have said that it’s safe to use.
