First Misleading Reviews - unfortunately well intentioned reviewers misinterpret technical spec documents and make mistakes that tear apart good products like this one. This is in response to Kimberly's Review of the specs included with the SLONIK S25 model 1,000 Lumen, dual LED Headlamp, and the product itself & the packaging, accessories , etc.. First I can understand and even empathize with her frustration as to why more electronics aren't made in USA and the relatively lower cost of products made in Asia, some of those products/companies are not reliable & I too have found incorrect or exaggerated specs. BUT in this case - I found SLONIK to be Extremely reliable, customer service oriented, products r very well made, excellent craftsmanship, name brand parts & reliable operation - their instructions are EXCELLENT, clear & concise including warranty information, specs & contact info. Top 10% IMHO as compared to similar electronics I purchased on Amazon in past 10 years. That said - the "False Advertising Claim" you made re: the pair of CREE X-Lamp model XP-G2 LEDs (Proudly stated, BTW, that the LEDs are Made in America!! - SLONIK's primary selling point!).. The Flux output you refer too on Cree's website (pages 6-14) is clearly stated as the "Minimum Luminous Flux @ 85 C & (more importantly!!) @ 350 mA". - If you go to page 17, you'll find a Table - "Relative Flux vs Current" (@ 85 C) for both the Standard and High Efficacy versions of this same LED - the Standard version can handle up to 1500 mAh batteries, the Hi-Efficacy up to 2000 mAh. At 350 mAh - we see it intersects @ 100% - just like you said - if battery was a 3.7V @ 350mAh then Flux (lumens) would be 100% x 164 lm = 164 lumens per LED x 2= 328 lm output from both LEDs. BUT we have a 2200mAh battery - look at the graph - @ 1000mAh it is 250% x164 = 410 each LED (820 lm total) @ 1500 mAh (max for standard Cree XPG-2) = 340% x 164 = 557 lm x 2 LEDs = 1114 lm Total - MORE than Spec claims and well within 2200mah/3.7V battery rating - spec claims that at this level (assuming it is the 100% mode) - you'll get 4 hours before recharge (battery dissipates 8.14 watts/hour, or max of 2.2 hours running full load, @ 1500mah/3.7V load - battery will dissipate 5.55 Watts/hr. My quick math in my head says we should get around 3.5 hours of battery at 100% brightness setting, spec says "4 hours" at 100% running at 10 watts (each LED is rated at max 5V/1A or 5 Watts x 2 = 10 Watts). Anyway - according to Slonik's spec and Cree's Data Sheet for the LED & battery capacity chart (assuming all is perfect - NEVER IS) the Lumens STATED in SLONIK's Spec = 1000 lm for 2 x CREE XPG-2 Standard Version is CORRECT as math and Specs say output @ 1500mah = 1114 lm - Close enough - Color Temp - Depends which model CREE they used - I would guess in Daylight/Cool White range where LED has higher Flux in that 4200-8000 Kelvin range rather than warm white below 4000 Kelvin range. In closing - after about 6 weeks using this light almost everyday with my head and light stuck in 9.5" ceiling holes cut for 4 new Dolby Atmos speakers and new 6" smart Recessed lights (x 8). The storage case, instructions and battery are IMO high end for any price-range, charge cable and integrated mini-USB port - is flimsy - not because SLONIK is bad - that mini USB is awful in general it is unreliable and should be discontinued on any equipment (cell phones included) - it's garbage and a bad idea - if u r careful with it it's fine - get a higher quality cable - I have a spare external 18650 floor charger - I use it for my LED flashlights - BTW flat top battery that SLONIK uses has no connection troubles in my external charge (no electrical contact issues because of small positive nipple on the battery - nipple is fine just like it is). I typically set headlamp on lowest or 2nd lowest setting for my purposes - electronics repair, construction projects, outdoor dark night activities - sneaking around at night & BBQ-ing in the dark. Have not found a practical use for "Full Power" Yet - but man is it bright - and the combo "Spot" & "Flood" HQ lenses are excellent. Charges fully in less than 90 minutes - my only minor complaint is it does get warm if u wear it directly on exposed skin - like my skull/forehead - need to turn it off between "jobs".Band is very soft & comfortable, easy to adjust. In summary, the negative review re: Lumen Output was a simple MISUNDERSTANDING of how CREE's LED Flux output is calculated - & I think some folks paid lots of $$$$ for other "BRANDS" that are same as this & R looking for a "Flaw" in this product that just isn't there.

I’ve been using the SLONIK 1000-lumen rechargeable headlamp for a while now, and it’s proven to be a really reliable piece of gear—especially for outdoor use and hands-free tasks. The brightness is impressive for something this compact. With around 1000 lumens, it easily lights up a wide area, whether you’re walking at night, working in a dark space, or setting up camp. It also has multiple brightness levels and modes, so you can adjust depending on what you’re doing. What really stands out is the build quality. The aluminum construction makes it feel much more durable than typical plastic headlamps, and it’s designed to handle rough conditions. It’s also water-resistant, so using it in rain or damp environments hasn’t been an issue. The rechargeable battery is another big plus. You don’t have to keep buying batteries, and it holds a decent charge for regular use. I’ve used it for longer sessions, and it lasts well as long as you’re not running it on the highest setting the entire time. Comfort-wise, it’s pretty good. The adjustable headband fits securely and doesn’t slip around much. It’s a little heavier than ultra-light models because of the metal build, but not enough to be uncomfortable. If I had one complaint, it’s that the beam can be a bit more focused than wide on certain settings, so it may take a little adjusting depending on your needs. Overall, this is a solid, no-nonsense headlamp that delivers strong brightness, durability, and convenience. Great for camping, hiking, working on projects, or just having around for emergencies.

When it comes to flashlights your looking at: Light Output, Battery Life, Durability, and Special Features. And with that in mind this is a pretty good flashlight for the price. I would buy it again, and here's why. 1. Output. It's pretty bright, serval times brighter than my 3v Mag Light. It's hard to say what it's really putting out because all of these people lie about the Lumin's. Not a swinging one of them ever actually measures it. But it's on the high end. 2. Battery Life. This part is kind of my specialty, because Lithium is a field that stays intentionally confusing. So most people don't know how to compare it to say AA batteries. And even AA's are tricky little buggers. So heres a break down. In rough numbers, measured in milli amp hours or mah. Using non-rechargeable A cells, because rechargeables have about half the juice. And that's pretty weak. Lithium=990-3500 (2200) AA=400-1500 (900) AAA=400-1000 (750) What that mean is that that given the same bulb you need roughly 3 A type cells to match 1 single Lithium. And given that a lithium recharges more times than a standard rechargeable A cell. It would still win out over anything short of a whole pile of A cells. 3. Durability. I give it 4.5 / 5 here. It is for the most part fantastic. largely made of metal, well sealed and it's a simple functional design. It's all contained in a single compact unit. I don't like that some of the reflector housing is plastic. And the battery cap is thinner than I like. But to be fair it's all metal and it should be more than strong enough. I haven't had it long enough to really work the tilt mechanism. But it looks simple and reliable. The only weak spot is the head bead. But that's not uncommon. Its and elastic band, eventually it's going to lose its stretch. But its on par with anything else on the market. 4. Special Features. It has 2 light settings, and it has a charger built in. That may not sound like a lot, but they are well made. The light levels are intuitive and functional. And unlike the standard A cell system, this can be plugged in and charged with the battery still in it. That means few wear cycles. It's a simple device that does what it does well. There aren't a huge cluster of LED's like in a lot of head lamps. Because no matter how many bulbs you and you have the same working amperage. And with the current state of LED's more then 2 will mean dimmer LED's. With more and more wasted power for every additional LED. Even when there not turned on every extra LED cost power that could be used for light. And don't even get me started on the independently swiveling lamps. So all in all, the output is about as good as it can be without more batteries. And it's more the reasonable durable. That makes it a good flashlight.

This light is a much better quality light than most you will find in this price range. The case is fully aluminum and will take a beating and keep working. It comes with a storage case, battery, charge wire and clips to mount it to your hard hat. The case is good quality and holds the few extra item it needs. It does take a flat top 18650 battery and seems to come with a pretty good run time with that battery. I like how the charge port is hidden and protected until you need it. I have used it for an hour straight and it never got dull or ran out of battery life. I bought 2 lights at this time of purchase. This one and a 95 dollar headlamp. This one puts out about 90 percent of the light the more expensive light does for a fraction of the price. Now I can note a few negative differences between the two. This light has the basics you need. Quality and bright led lights. It has basic on full brightness or off option. No multi option brightness or strobe option which I never use strobe anyway. It also does not have a battery level indicator of any kind. I like its feature where it can easily be removed from the headband bracket with just a pull which makes charging with the common micro USB wire easier without removing the whole headband from my hard hat. Although I do tree work at night sometimes and I'm afraid I may knock it off its backet with a branch while 70 feet on the air. It has not happened yet though. I am happy with this purchase though and I think it is fairly priced.

I was a little skeptical buying a 30+ dollar headlamp when I've bought several in the 5 dollar range from Amazon that (I thought) worked fine. But this thing is definitely in a different class. The picture shows a cheapo Energizer headlamp next to the the SLONIK headlamp, both on high. The beams are placed right next to each other. you probably can't even make out the energizer over the Slonik and the ambient light coming through the curtains. Brightness aside.... it also has some nice features. The head strap easily snaps on/off of the lamp body. The lamp also rotates inside of the head mount so you can point it at whatever angle you prefer. Rechargeable.. is a thing. I never know whether to call it a plus or a minus. Its definitely not a pro to have to take it off and recharge it for awhile if you're camping and it's the middle of the night and you don't have any power bricks or what have you nearby. but it is nice to know you could use it forever (basically) if you had a solar usb charger and no batteries. So it will be a pro or a con depending on the situation and intended usage. Most likely, it will normally be a pro. I prefer the method of cycling modes by holding down the button to most headlamps I have which cycle with every button press. It's nice to not have to go through the obnoxious strobe just to turn it off. I wish that it would remember the last mode you were on and use that instead of defaulting to medium and having to press the button twice to get to high. Nice aluminum (maybe?) body. feels weighty in the hand. Might not be great for backpacking as it is a bit more substantial than a cheaper (or perhaps significantly more expensive) all plastic alternative like the energizer. Strap is comfortable and tightness is very easily adjusted without taking it off and going through a process of trial and error. *Update - Still love this headlamp. Use it all the time. The battery that came with it is still working pretty well. I am pretty sure I still get the advertised 8 hours if not more. I bought an Ultrafire flashlight mainly for the 4 18650 batteries that it came with for 20 bucks. Bring an extra on a camping trip and you'll be good for a weekend. I bought another one last week for my wife or guests at the camp. It's slightly different from my original. 1. The SLONIK branding is everywhere. On the head band.. on the light. There were no words anywhere on my original. 2. The brightness is almost exactly equal. The light color is more white on the original but noticeably unless you have them side by side. 3. The headband seems more "locked in place" than the original which will SLOWLY work itself loose. They are both incredibly easy to adjust 4. The one difference that I'm not sure I'm too fond of is that the new one goes to 100 percent brightest when you turn it on. Whereas the other was on "low" when you turn it on. I'll end up using battery quicker on the new one since I don't typically change the brightness on the original simply because of the hassle of the extra button push. I'll do the same thing here. So.. I'll be using it on high by default instead of low. No big deal, but that is the only main difference I've noticed. Even though it approximately 6 times more expensive than my other head lamps, They were definitely worth the price.
