SHIMANO Clipless Pedals Click-in Pedal PD-A530

This padal is great. First clip-in pedal i've owned and im really happy with them. Only took one or two sessions to get used to them. I had to adjust the tension a bit (they were pretty tight out the box) but its really easy to adjust, just follow the instructions and it only takes a minute. I love the fact that I can use them without my clip-in shoes too. If I just wanna cruise down the road to my friends house I just throw on my regular shoes or even sandals and the pedal feels great. Its just big enough that it feels good under my feet but is still small enough so its discreet and looks cool. Overall a great pedal.

The clips work great. The platforms are super slippery though and you will slip off the pedals if your not careful i put these pedals on my hybrid commuter and I love the clips for when I'm crusiing around town or working out. For commuting I'm typically wearing either sandals or sneakers and they both slip pretty easily on the coated platform pedals. Be careful.

I really liked these pedals. I have a new cyclocross/gravel bike that has become my everywhere bike and while I love clipping in on long rides, there are times that I just want to jump on and run to the store and it is nice to not have to put on the ole biking shoes. They clip and release about as easily as my full clipless pedals that I use on my road bike. Good quality, work fine in the mud.

The dual use option is great when riding in area where a lot of stop and go is required, or you just want to hop on your bike for a casual ride down the road. The SPD cleats work great and really allow for a more efficient ride. Pedal were were clearly marked for left and right side as well as direction of the threads for installation.

Good pedals at a good price. Started clicking after a few weeks of use. My local bike shop said the bearings inside were loose. They tightened them and the clicking went away. A couple weeks later the clicking started up again. I bought the same pedals from my local bike shop and rode them all last summer without a problem. I don't know about these pedals. Are they factory seconds?

Great pedals for clipless and regular shoe riders. Lets me ride with clipless shoes and loan my bike to friends who don't have clipless shoes. Weight is such that the clipless side is usually on top! Just flick with your foot to turn over!

prefer these pedals for the bikes on which i commute as it gives me the flexibility to clip in or ride the platforms. for the bikes that i ride on longer rides, I prefer pedals where both sides can be clipped in - that way, i don't have to fiddle with the pedals to find the right side.

Like the Pedals, I could have overlooked it in the description but I didn't need to order a set of SPD cleats it comes with them. Received in a timely manner.

Diese Pedale haben sowohl Vorteile, als auch Nachteile, Licht und Schatten eben. Mit meinen 3 Sternen halte ich mich exakt an die Amazon-Nomenklatur (3 Sterne = "nicht schlecht"). 4 Sterne wären schon "gefällt mir" Bitte habt Verständnis dafür, wenn Ihr diese Rezension als hilfreich, oder nicht hilfreich bewertet.Vorteile:+ formschön (mein persönliches Empfinden).+ Stabiler Alu-Käfig.+ universell (klick + flat).+ der Klickmechanismus funktioniert perfekt, auch wenn ich die Federn auf den beiden Seiten komplett entspannen musste (für leichteres Ein- und Ausklicken) und als Schuhplatten lieber SM-SH56, statt der serienmäßig beiliegenden SM-SH51 verwende. Ich bin kein Extrembiker, fahre ca. 2000 km im Jahr, ziehe nicht so extrem und mir ist ein leichtes Ausklicken wichtiger als die Kraftübertragung. Wobei, es ist mir auch noch nie passiert, dass ich mich beim Ziehen versehentlich ausgeklickt habe.Nachteile:- die Käfig-Legierung ist relativ weich. Die Plattform-Seite hat nur eine geriffelte Oberfläche ohne Pins. Diese Seite verschleißt, bei mir ist nicht nur die schwarze Farbe runter, sondern die Legierung rubbelt sichtbar runter. Dafür gibt es einen Stern Abzug.- ich wünschte mir, die Plattform-Seite wäre etwas weniger rutschig, aber das ist wahrscheinlich nur durch eine Gummierung, oder durch Pins zu erreichen.- die Pedale haben in der Basisausstattung keine StVZO-konformen Reflektoren. Schlecht für den alltäglichen Betrieb. Mann kann die Reflektoren (Shimano SM-PD61) nachrüsten. Diese machen die E-PDA530L Pedale nochmal 50% teurer und sind wirklich potthässlich. Aber StVZO-konform.- nach 600 km ist ein extrem nerviges klickendes Geräusch aufgetaucht. Der Übeltäter war schnell gefunden, weil ich schon zuvor dieses Geräusch mit anderem Pedal, E-PDT420 von Shimano hatte. Ich habe mich entschlossen, die Pedale nicht aufzugeben, sondern dem Problem auf den Grund zu gehen. Habe alles zerlegt (es wird das Shimano-Pedalwerkzeug TL-PD40 dafür benötigt), gereinigt, neu eingefettet und den Konus neu einstellt. Ich vermute als Ursache werkseitig schlecht angezogene, oder schlecht gesicherte Kontermuttern am Konus/Kugellager. Mit der Zeit haben sich die Muttern bewegt das hat auf einer Seite dazu geführt, dass die Konus-Einstellung locker wurde und das Pedal zu klicken angefangen hat. Auf der anderen Seite wurde das Pedal hingegen etwas schwergängiger. Ich habe die Kontermutter sorgfältig angezogen und mit Loctite gesichert. Nach dem ich das alles gemacht habe, habe ich schon seit >1000km meine Ruhe. Ich halte das aber für schlechte Fertigungsqualität und finde, diese Aktion nach nur 600km wäre unnötig wenn die Kontermuttern ab Werk richtig angezogen und gesichert worden wären. Dafür gibt es ebenfalls einen Stern Abzug.Nachtrag: nach ca. 3 tkm war das Klickgeräusch wieder da. Aber ich bin ja mittlerweile routiniert, habe wieder alles zerlegt, gereinigt, eingefettet, eingestellt und danach war wieder Ruhe. Fazit, diese Pedale sollten alle paar tkm gewartet werden, damit sie geräuschlos laufen.

Je voulais une pédale qui ait un côté automatique pour faire de la route avec des chaussures adaptées et un autre côté pour des ballades de tous les jours.les points forts c'est que c'est un produit solide de bonne construction, on sent que le centre de gravité est bien placé pour avoir un équilibre au niveau de la pédale. les réglages du ressort de tension sont faciles à utiliser. Le clipsage de la chaussure dans la pédale se fait sans problème, il faut juste s'habituer au début ensuite on pourra le faire les yeux fermés.Ce qui pourra être amélioré est la surface et l'adhérence de la 2ème face de la pédale (côté non automatique) qui à mon sens est trop lisse. s'il y a un peu d'eau et qu'on ait des chaussures à semelle, votre pied pourra glisser sur la pédale.Sinon bon produit au final.

Par de pedales de gran calidad, con rosca estándar para encajar en cualquier bicicleta, de montaña o carretera. Alternativa perfecta para quienes hagan un uso de la bici alternando paseos con calzado de calle en unas ocasiones con ruta o montaña pura y dura en otras, para lo que se requiere más fuerza y control de la pedalada. Por un lado permiten pedalear con calzado normal (mejor unas deportivas con suela de caucho para mantener un agarre decente) y con dar media vuelta al pedal podemos encajar calzado de ciclismo con calas SPD.La instalación sencillísima, con una llave plana del 15 o bien con una llave allen del paso más habitual en las bicis (no se incluye herramienta). OJO: Rociar bien toda la zona del anclaje de calas con UB40 o 3 en 1 o similar, es necesario para que las calas salgan con facilidad y evitar caerse más de una vez.En el paquete se incluye un par de calas Shimano SPD, que cuestan 11 €, por lo que el precio final del juego de pedales es estupendo (mejor los 32,36 € de los pedales de color plata que los 40,80 € de los de color negro). Basta con atornillarlas en unas zapatillas de MTB para poder pedalear con mayor eficacia. Los pedales traen ajuste de dureza de agarre para sacar las calas, simplemente apretando o aflojando un tornillo que viene marcado con +/-. Para fijar el pie basta con introducir la punta de la cala y pisar. Para sacarlo basta con girar el talón hacia afuera.No son muy pesados y estéticamente quedan muy bien. En resumen, muy buena compra.Sobre la advertencia, con estas calas y cualquieras otras... No olvidar engrasar, si no puede que se atasquen un poco al sacar el pie, y sea lo justo para ir al suelo en parado.

I'm really pleased with these pedals. I recently purchased my first road cycle which came with plastic pedals and straps. I looked a right idiot trying to put my feet in the straps which kept rotating around on the pedal axle to hang upsidedown. I purchased these Shimano pedals to replace them with. The reason I chose these is because at some point in the future I am looking to buy some SPD shoes but I also wanted to be able to ride it in normal shoes until then. Plus with the one flat side I have the flexibility of riding my bike in normal shoes to work, shops, school run etc without using SPD shoes. The flat side grips nicely with my Merrell walking shoes and I suffer no slip offs even in wet weather. Included in the pack was a set of SPD cleats for when I finally get around to buying some proper shoes. Recommended for those looking for flexibility with their pedal / footwear on a road bike.
