Of course,it can hold it, it has a pair of magnetic inserts that are grooved to hold round items.

What size are the mounting holes?

Bad advice. I bought 1/2" bolts in anticipation of the arrival of my new vice. That was wrong!! My bet is it is a metric size, and I'm going back to the hardware store to buy 3/8" bolts. or maybe 10mm .
