Excellent top coat. Looks like glass! This top coat is the star of the show, is thick and levels out beautifully. The base coat is on the thicker side, I would say not beginner-friendly but is workable, and the price is absolutely great. Already ordered back ups.

Easy to use and durable. My manicure is a week old and still going strong. I'm a nurse and hard on my hands. I don't baby my nails at all.

Hands down the BEST base and top coat i've used. My nails look like glass and the top coat is No-Wipe so it does not leave a sticky layer and the base coat has amazing adhesion. I'm a musician so I'm pretty rough on my hands sometimes and my nails can definitely take the beating with these! My nails usually start lifting around the 1 week mark, but these girls are on and stuck! ♡

Great for doing gel at home. Be careful though it is very thick and the brush is thick. You might want to invest a light and a brush to be more precise. Also when storing the product keep them upright because they will leak even when closed.

My nails are very brittle, so I have to either keep them short or have something on them to give them strength. I can’t use acrylic because it lifts off my nails very quickly, so gel is my only real option. I purchased this along with the base and top coat gels to see if this product would help keep my nails strong and it does! I can go 3+ weeks with this on my nails without it lifting, peeling off or giving me any problems and it looks great. The only issue I have with them is that I have to do it one finger at a time because if I try to do my entire hand before curing it, the gel spreads towards the edges of the nail, leaving the center layer thin and creates extra work when trying to shape the overall nail because the gel on the edges is so thick.

The top gel coat, I felt like it had a good, more on the runnier side, consistency, which I prefer, and somewhat self leveled itself. I liked how glossy it was and how it was smooth. The base coat, I felt, was much too thick for being in the container, an average nail polish bottle, it was in. On the plastic stick part of the applicator, it would gather and make it difficult to wipe on the inside rims of the opening. The bright side of it being thick meant I didn't really have to worry about it moving about on my nail. Though my nails would either come off completely in a singular piece or chip way after a week and a half, even with nails prep and all. For reference, regular air-dry nail polish usual starts to chips after a week and a half on my nails, and thats without prep. Tldr: Glossy top coat is good, self-levels, but is on the thinner/ runny side. Base coat: Really thick, felt like it could substitute my builder at one point, and doesn't last that long (like 11-14 days at max for me) before it starts chipping. Yes, I tried the my colored gel and the glossy coat from this without base and it lasted for 26 days, I counted. Recomend: I would buy the top coat, but not the base unless you like it really extra thick.

Always loved this friend from the start so I was happy to see this set. The price point is great obviously and the product is also great I haven't used the base coat yet but I tested the top coat and it is nice and shinyand thick so you would only need one coat to level out any sparkles or uneven spots. I will definitely be buying it again I only hope that born pretty will release more of its products on amazon.ca!
