I do know that I like the design and the plastic shield on the front to stand up to her scuffing. She ALWAYS ruins the tip of her shoes (and knees of her pants) because she stays on her knees building things.I haven't owned a Pediped I didn't like and like the design, as does my baby (3 year old). She can put these on herself and go. She will not wear them until late Spring. By then, then will be about 1 or 1&1/2 sizes too big, which is how I buy her shoes to last longer. I usually put in a double-thick insole for extra comfort and to take up room while she grows into them. I'm on a VERY FIXED BUDGET and it helps to not have to buy shoe so often. I don't size up any more than that though.I will comment more on construction once she's had a chance to wear them but starting out they seem the same good quality as her other Pedipeds. i can't wait until the patent leather, fire engine red ones come back in her size. She still tries to squeeze into those because she loved them so much. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Average Mary Janes *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on 23 June 2014* These are nice, everyday "not-sneaker" shoes for my toddler. PediPed makes them pretty comfortable (according to my 2 year old) and they are really fine for pre-school wear with dresses or fancier outfits. The sole is nice and rubber so no slipping (and my kid is a runner)! The three star review is because they are just OK. This brand can be pricey, and you can get a comparable shoe to this one at almost ANY store in countless brands. They are not super glam shoes that are extra comfortable and therefore are not unique. These are basic Mary Janes. I do think they do the job. Like all PediPeds they come with an insole so you can buy them and get a little extra wear out of them by removing the extra insole.
