Projection Alarm Clock, Atomic Clock Weather Station for Bedroom

I can honestly say there is nothing that I dislike about this alarm clock. I like that it’s an atomic one which I specifically wanted to keep accurate time. I always look at it and compare it to my Apple Watch and they’re right on sync! The projection is set to show on my ceiling. It’s crisp and bright, but not so bright that it keeps you awake. You can make an adjustment on the brightness to suit your needs. I like having a dual alarm clock and I set one for during the week for appointments, and the other one for the weekend. I love having the feature of looking at my alarm clock and seeing what the temperature is, in and outside of the house, so I know how to dress for my day. I had a hard time setting the day to match the date for the particular month we were in. I reached out to customer support and they got back to me right away and told me how to correct this. There was nothing wrong with the clock, it was my own error on my part. I definitely feel this was a very good value for my money and if you are looking for an atomic alarm clock, I highly recommend this one.

I love the overhead display. I dont have to crane my head to see the time or temperature. It is very accurate and the unit display as a desk top clock is adjustable High, medium, low and off. You dont have to have the display on if you just want to use the overhead view or wall or any where. Set up is easy brightness is adjustable, great value

As my title says, I needed to replace my >15 year old clock, because the temp display was deteriorating on my old one. Unfortunately, Oregon Scientific appears to no longer be a company. I found this one and hoped that it would meet my needs. You see, I wake up in the middle of the night and have found it very useful to see immediately how close it is to morning, so I know if I can allow myself to go back to deep sleep. Before, I had to wake up to some degree to peer at my alarm clock, which made it harder to go back to sleep. The red light projected on the wall does not glare in my eyes so it also does not wake me up more than needed. The temperature has been a bonus because I can already know if I need to dress warm/cold before I get out of bed. Differences between my old one and this one: 1. Display on new clock table top unit is more up to date, and has more weather details. Good. 2. clock is lighter and smaller than old one. Hmm-I knock it down sometimes. 3. Display on ceiling is smaller. I wish it was bigger. You can make it so by making the clock project further, but that means I either cannot use the clock as my alarm, or I need to make the display go to the other end of the room, which is further from my bed. Not to good, but I can still see it. 4. The projection does not rotate 360 degrees, only 180. This means that to read it while in bed, the clock has to face the foot of my bed, or the head of my bed (depending on where I place the unit). I would love to have the display face me, and project at 90 degree angle. I would suggest this change. 5. The display is brighter than my OS one, which if you don't like light of any kind when you sleep--don't get this one. But it is not "in your eyes". The plus is that when the days get longer and my room gets lighter in the mornings, I can still see the display, where I could not with the OS one. 6. Projected temp rotates between indoor and outdoor. I wish I could set it for only outdoor, because that is the only one I care about. I thought the changing temp would annoy me, but it actually does not. The time it takes it flip back and forth is long enough for your brain to register what you are seeing, but not much longer. 7. The sensor is more reliable on this new one. The OS one would occasionally lose connection and I would not get any type of temp reading. But this may be partly because it was getting old. 8. Both update the time automatically. When Daylight savings first began, I had it set to not change because I understand that DST is going away. But that made it read an hour early, even when I adjusted manually. Hopefully, this will not become an issue later.

This dual alarm clock - weather station is a handy-dandy, reliable device which arrived on time and was easy to set up. It's multi-colored displays are easy on the eyes and distinguishes inside from outside temperatures and humidities (thanks to a battery-powered sensor you can place outside). The clock is spot on with perfect synchronization with the Bureau of Standards atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado. It is accurate to the second. This is my second Newentor device. What distinguishes this from the first one I purchased is its projection of time and temperature (in red) on my ceiling. Quite a conversation piece. Indoor and outdoor temperatures alternate . It projects well on my 9-foot ceiling; not blindingly bright, but readable. The Service department at Newentor is friendly and very accommodating. I did not need them for this projector alarm clock but did require some of their assistance with my first purchase about a month ago. Assistance was prompt and effective. I highly recommend this Newentor projector alarm clock - weather station.

In the description online it says this is an atomic projection clock that also has weather features. Atomic means — I thought that when you plug it in, it will immediately connect and set up your time for you automatically. No muss, no fuss. That’s how my old one worked for 20 years or more. Well, when the clock came was delivered it said nothing about being an atomic clock. In fact, not one word on the outside of the box or in the manual mentions it in those words (it does mention some radio frequency or something, which meant nothing to me). I returned it because I thought they sent me the wrong clock; I ordered the “right one” again, with the same results. (Sigh) Messages from the seller said it was atomic, so I went to the instructions. No auto setup unless you just want to leave it for up to five days in the off chance it will magically connect atomically. So I set up the clock manually, giving day of the week, month, day, year, hour and minute, plus other things (am/pm, etc. The projection on the ceiling is barely big enough to see without my glasses but if I squint I can read it Alas, on about the fifth day I woke up to a clock that had apparently tried but failed to be set by the atomic feature overnight—a clock that had reset to its default dates and times, and I was unable to set all the information back to current info. I returned it. Definitely not worth getting if you want these features. The weather info is good, however.

I've always been interested in a projection alarm clock, since my clock is on the headboard behind my head, and my eyes don't adjust well at night. Also, I work outside and wanted to know the temperature as soon as I wake up so I know how to dress for the day. This baby has it all! Pros: •love the projection! I don't have to turn my head around to see where the clock is. It ends up bigger than the clock also, so easier to read at night. Also, you can angle it however you need to, and even flip the projection over for those of you who install it somewhere other than the headboard. •As mentioned, I also love seeing the current temperature in that projection. It changes every 5 seconds from inside to outside temperature. •I haven't used the alarm function, but read that you can turn the alarm off with any button on the clock. Plus the snooze button is adjustable so you can make it snooze as long as you like, or make it another "turn off the alarm" button. •The temperature remote for outside synced immediately upon turning it on, so no troubles there. •Also the screen of the alarm clock can be set to be full brightness or three other dimmer settings, in case it's too bright for you at night. Cons: •not much to complain about here. My only trouble is that the clock does the whole atomic clock thing where it sets itself using radio waves. Unfortunately where I have it in my basement it can't get those radio waves, so it won't set itself. Not a fault of the clock, more a problem of where I installed it. But it isn't a big issue for me, since you can set the clock manually also. Overall, love this clock and since my kids are now begging for one, Christmas will be easy this year!

I have had probably 12 of these type of clocks, atomic setting function, remote temperature and humidity sensing, projection. Several different brands etc. and almost without fail, they have gone dim, both the clock face and the projector over time. Also at about the same time, the remote sensors have failed. Well, I'm impressed with this one especially for the price. The display is very bright, the projection is very bright (I had to turn it down as it was too bright at night) and the sensor setup was a breeze and works perfectly. I don't know what to say. The quality from the likes of Scientific Atlanta, etc. has gone down hill. Count me impressed. I had to lower my rating as there is a pretty big problem. If you keep the clock in a place where the Atomic Clock signal is weak, then not only will it not update the date and time (as to be expected), but it will update the clock, month, day and year with totally incorrect information, not even close. As this update typically happens in the middle of the night, if you were using this as an alarm, you would be in real trouble. I know you can update manually, but that defeats the purpose. Too bad!

I have purchased 3 of thes clocks and have had issues with all of them. They will often turn off during the night so you cant see the time projected or evrn on the vlock face. They come back on intermittently. The most recent one will not show the correct time and has been off by one hour plus or minusfor quite some tome and now is off by 3 hours. The atomic cl9ck os not working and yhere is no way toadjust yhe tome manually.

This Newentor projection clock is a great item and more than I had expected. It is bright and precise with regard to keeping time and weather information. I had a warranty issue that was personally taken in hand and resolved in just a week. I highly recommend this weather clock. My experience was just wonderful. My customer service agent Janna, was so efficient and her communication skills were superb. I couldn’t be happier. John D

The unit looked and functioned as advertised but could use a few improvements. (1) Although it is synchronized with the atomic clock, it is always 1 minute slower than my cellular phone. (2) The weather forecast section (bottom left) is seldom accurate, so I ignore it. (3) I wish the projector display rotated 90 degrees. I place the clock beside my bed facing me, but when I project onto the ceiling it is hard to read as it is perpendicular instead of horizontal. I do not use the alarms so unable to comment on its functionality.

So far, it works great! There are a lot of features, buttons, procedures etc. so the instructions are needed. The supplied manual is reasonably good, but there are few areas that are difficult to understand. Not a deal breaker by any means however. I bought it especially for the atomic clock, and as a replacement for my existing projection clock. The projection feature works good, --it projects both clock and indoor and outdoor temperatures which is nice. One disappointment is that the daylight saving feature has to be manually switched on and off when DST starts and ends. It's not a big deal, but a bit annoying as other units switch automatically. The atomic clock feature works very well on this unit, but requires that the projection feature shut itself off for 3 or so minutes while the clock is synchronizing at night. It's not a big deal, but it did catch me by surprise the first time I noticed it blank out.

time on ceiling isn't very bright and the time didn't change automatically for daylight savings. This was my original problem but the company contacted me and this problem was solved. Now I have another problem. The clock will not keep time. I looked at it this morning and it was 1:30 and thought I had no sleep so checked my watch and it was actually 4 :30. This exact same thing happened twice this week. Then the clock decided to shut off by itself. It was plugged in and no one was near it and when I looked over the whole area was black. About 2 hours later the clock came back on all by itself but with the wrong time. I want to return this clock because there is no way that I can trust it to keep the right time or stay on. Very disappointed but definetly not worth paying for this clock.

It's not that big so you don't need a lot of space to put it in yet it does have a good size screen that you can see from a decent distance. The screen has a high resolution and a lot of color to it. It was relatively easy to set up, the instruction manual was easy to follow. I especially liked that the projection image changes between indoor/outdoor temperatures every couple of seconds. The definition quality of the projection on my ceiling is excellent. Well made, quality product.
