Paint & Plant Stoneware Flower Gardening Kit - Gifts for Girls & Boys Ages 4-12 - Kids Arts & Crafts Project Science Birthday Gift, STEM Activity for Age 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 Year Old Girl

I got this for my grandkids to make for their mom (my daughter) for mother's day. It is good quality and the kids had a lot of fun with it. The only thing I didn't like was how hard they were to paint. They were glazed white which made it very difficult for the paint to adhere to them. If I had it to do again, I would try scuffing them with some fine grit sand paper although I don't know if that would be enough. But it was a fun project to do with my grandkids (7 & 3).

This was a super cute gift project! My son is 4 and needed help opening the little pots of paint, but painted the planters himself. They came out great! Just make sure to give yourself a little lead time if this is a gift -- it needs time to dry as well as time in the oven to set the paint!

My granddaughter is going to love this “project”. She so enjoys crafts and helps me plant pumpkin seeds every Spring and loves watching the plants grow and produce pumpkins. Perfect gift for her Easter Basket.

I bought this for my three grandchildren, who happily painted the pots, but not with the acrylic paints it comes with it. Their father didn’t want to be messing around with baking them in the oven because this was a hands-on product for these three little kids ages 3 to 7. I don’t know whether the paint will wash off when it rains if they’re placed outside, but so far they have been indoors. The seeds germinated quickly, but it will take time for them to turn into a full-blown plant with flowers. It was a great afternoon activity for them, and will keep them occupied, watching the flowers grow, so I’d recommend it highly. I didn’t think that the little compressed dirt would actually fill up the three pots, but it did! Stones don’t come with the kit, so we scavenged the backyard for a few for each pot to allow the water to drain easily. I think I would’ve preferred three individual coasters, instead of the one long coaster, so that they could have placed each of them in their rooms, or moved them to separate windowsills. All in all a fun activity for kids.

This is a cute kit and would make a nice gift for a young girl with interest in pottery painting and/or gardening. The product is sturdy and provides all that is needed to create designs for three pots and a tray. If you are displeased with anything just painted, you can rub it off immediately with water/paper towel and start all over. It didn't hold my granddaughters attention for long, but she liked it and will eventually decide to continue and complete her painting project when time allows.
