Excellent tool like all of my Makita items
Great saw. I use it for trimming engineered marble shower stall kits and it works great. Nice as it integrates with all of my other Makita 18 V cordless tools.

Doesn’t leak at all with pipe tape!!!
This saw worked perfectly to cut 2 vessel sinks into a quartz counter top. The coolant bottle works very well and I’m impressed as to how leak free it is if you take one of the other reviewers recommendation and wrap the fitting threads with plumbers/pipe tape. It didn’t leak a drop. Also, just about everything I could find said that the included blade is not good for cutting quartz and engineered stone but it cut quartz perfectly with absolutely no chipping. I did make 2 passes though, maybe that helped. Either way, 5 stars!!

Great for Large format tile
Fabulous for detail, shaped, plunge or large format tile cut outs. Accurate, clean lines on porcelain tile with a festool track saw & adjusted adapter. Wouldn't use all day, but great 2nd saw on the job. I use it with a smoother cutting blade. Battery life is pretty good on tile. The water resevoir tank leaks from the top due to air gap so it functions, going to try a wet sponge on the blade instead for quick smaller cuts. Haven't used the hose function yet, don't plan on lots of long cuts, but seems functional with care of plastic fittings.

good saw for occasional use
I purchased this saw to cut some granite remnants. I used the water bottle and also ran a hose on top of the stone, so I can't comment on the complaint about leakage. My granite was 3/4 inch thick, and I found the saw bogging down, even at a slow feed rate. So I think the saw is a bit under powered. I was able to cut through the granite by making multiple cuts at increasing depths. I watched YouTube videos where users appear to more easily cut through stone in a single pass. Perhaps they used a better blade, or the stone was not as hard as my granite. I purchased the track adapter and used the saw on a Festool track. This was a big advantage for getting a relatively smooth cut. I would not want to use this saw freehand, since the saw marks would be a pain to buff out. I think the saw is of good quality and I would buy it again. However, there is no mistaking this for a professional grade saw.

Awesome wet and dry tile saw
This little tile saw has came in pretty handy for me, it's a good value for the money, cutting is pretty good put don't push to hard at the end because I have broken three tiles at first, factory blade is good, battery life is 4 hours on a 6 ah battery, I would recommend this Saw

Good addition to my tool
It is good addition to my big tile saw. You need to learn how to use it that tile wouldn't crack but sometimes its difficult to to cut big tiles on my saw and i use this small one.

Very impressed with quality of the cuts and power of the saw.
We made 4 cuts in single passes of this 1.5” granite countertop. Saw never hesitated and performed flawless right of the box. The only minor issue was that the water bottle did not seal tightly. Added Teflon tape to the threads and had no issues after that. Solid tool, very impressed, I was definitely reserved going into this project too.

Compact but up to big tasks
I purchased this to cut some granite countertops. This is extremely easy to use and I found it to make clean and true cuts in my granite countertop that I needed to widen the opening for my new stove. The water option (hose or small container that has quick connects) keep the dust down. You can use it to dry cut, but you need to buy an adapter if you want to vacuum or have a dust bag attached. This was perfect for what I needed, but I could see this being a key tool in much larger tile cutting, stone countertop cutting jobs.

Battery voltage low and don’t last long at all, over priced by nearly £100.00, managing to source locally with a Makita dealer. Delivery was over 3 weeks late.

First off, I am a huge fan of Makita. Love their products. I was excited to get this tool. I needed to cut porcelain tile for a bathroom. When using it freehand It did not cut as cleanly as I had hoped. When I I used it with a Makita track I could not cut with it at all. The diamond blade was not parallel to the metal base so the blade was going through the tile on an angle. The blade would bind up in the cut about 8” into the cut. Couldn’t push it any further. Did not use it for the tile project and I am going to try and send it back. Disappointed.
