Great lipstick. The color is nice and subtle. One thing to know about the lipstick is that you do not twist it up as you do most lipstick as it does not twist down. I thought that was odd at first, but you do get used to it and it’s a great lipstick. I have never purchased anything by Charlotte Tilbury that I did not like.

This lipstick balm has a soft texture that melts instantly on the lips and gives a glossy, hydrated look. The formula feels comfortable, smooths the lips, and works well as an everyday moisturizing product with a natural shine. One detail to keep in mind: the twist-up mechanism only moves the stick upward — it doesn’t retract back down. You have to be careful not to raise too much product at once, because the balm will stay exposed. If you prefer a more defined or enhanced lip look, pairing it with the Lip Cheat pencil in Pillow Talk Medium works really well. It adds structure and gives the balm a slightly deeper, more polished finish. Overall, the balm applies evenly and offers a fresh, glossy effect with comfortable moisture.

I am not a lipstick person but I am a lip balm person with occasional lip gloss use for some extra shine. I wasn't sure how this lipstick balm would be but I was hoping for good things. I am mostly happy with the product as it is truly a hybrid of a lipstick and lip balm. It has the color for a lipstick but also the moisturizing and hydrating effect of a lip balm. It's like fashion and function all in one. The product goes on like lip balm, thankfully, and it doesn't have that real excess slippery get on your teeth lipstick feel. The application is smooth and it feels like a quality lip balm with substance. It lasts for several hours, it will not of course last through every meal and multiple straw sips ( as I tend to do) but the moisturization effect does last quite a bit of time. The issue I take with this is that for coloring I wish they would have avoided using the Red 7 Lake ingredient but at least it is the last ingredient in the product. I also wish that you could not only twist up the balm but also bring it back down. This is a one way system ladies so do not over twist to get this high up as it will not go back down. I do appreciate that it has very incremental clicks so you can control exactly how much you are raising the product but the problem is if you have it a little too high up--too bad so sad. There is no return. Overall, I like the hybrid lipstick/lip balm product for the most part. The color is mellow and the moisturizing is there-it's not a lip tint so it won't last all day but at least your lips feel like you are coated with protection. The application is fine tuned to increments but it does not go back down is a bummer. For $35 at time of review, wish they had included that detail.
