avedio links HDMI to Component box is designed to help user easily convert digital HDMI or DVI(using a DVI-HDMI connector, not included) signal from an HDMI or DVI enabled source to component RGB video with R/L audio, allowing the viewing of digital video to be presented on a RGB display via standard component video cable. Features: - Audio output format: 2 channel LPCM; - Compliant with HDMI 1.3, Support HDCP 1.2 - Support 165MHz/1.65Ghps per channel(6.75Gps all channel)bandwidth for HDMI Input - Support HDMI resolutions: 480P@50/60Hz, 576P@50/60Hz, 720P@50/60Hz, 1080i@50/60Hz, 1080P@50/60Hz - Support Component Video resolutions: 480P@50/60Hz,576P@50/60Hz,720P@50/60Hz, 1080i@50/60Hz, 1080P@50/60Hz Connection steps: 1. If you're looking to use this product on something without hdmi ports, it may not work for you. I can only speak to a TV that does have hdmi ports. So if your TV has hdmi ports but they are all taken up or not functioning, this will probably work for you. I tested the adapter with both a Chromecast and Firestick, and they both worked without any issues. It's even showing up in 1080p (not sure about other resolutions, e.g., 1080i, 720p, etc.).

Ok, I searched all of amazon over the course of a few days trying to find something, ANYTHING that would breathe some life back into my TV. There are a million products on amazon and it seems that many don't work with a Chromecast or Firestick. This one does! What does my setup look like? I am using an older 40"? Sceptre HDTV. If you're looking to use this product on something without hdmi ports, it may not work for you. I can only speak to a TV that does have hdmi ports. So if your TV has hdmi ports but they are all taken up or not functioning, this will probably work for you. I tested the adapter with both a Chromecast and Firestick, and they both worked without any issues. It's even showing up in 1080p (not sure about other resolutions, e.g., 1080i, 720p, etc.).
