**Q: Does this need to be refrigerated?**
A: Cricket 🦗 Powder is shelf stable and does not need to be refrigerated.   
Just keep sealed and dry.  
If storing in the fridge make sure there is no moisture build up from taking in and out.

**Q: What are the crickets fed? Are they given any supplements such as b12?**
A: HI Adam
The crickets are fed a commercial food similar to what you'd feed chickens - that is corn based.  There is a vitamin and mineral premix, but we don't add any supplements like B12 - although the B12 in our crickets and cricket powder is very high.

I never would've thought I'd eat insects in any form unless I was drunk and/or forced to by unusual circumstances, but after hearing for years that in the future we'll be eating them, and then reading Eat Like a Human by Bill Schindler, I decided I could try hiding this in a few things to increase my protein. I mostly add it to my flax meal crackers that I make, and I barely notice any difference. I've even increased the amount I add. I already get a good bit of protein in my diet, so haven't gotten too creative beyond that, but it's a pretty easy entry into the concept. I still sort of say never to eating whole insects, though. Time will tell....

I was pleased to see this available now and it’s the best cricket powder I’ve tried. The smell is milder than some I’ve tried and it blends well and is flavorless in my smoothies. I’m not about to try a spoonful though. 😆
