Review: Useless since subscription changes - Completely fails to connect to anything, their mandatory cloud subscription app won't work properly, not that I would pay them £25/mo for the ability to change the resistance on an exercise bike I purchased and put into my house, anyawy.
Review: There’s a reason it’s cheaper than Peleton - A lot of play in the bike when assembled from new and everything is tight. Secondly, the screen is very buggy, takes ages to respond and when updating needs a cryptic cycle of download, unplug, re-download until Complete. Without this tango being complete the bike becomes locked. Lastly connecting of heart rate devices is shambolic. I’m into heart rate zone training at the minute so this is a HUGE deal for me. Had a garmin watch that worked for my first ride then would t connect at all afterwards, even when “forgetting device”, this just led to my watch being a total write off. Purchased an Apple Watch to use and it turns out that will only work with the phone app and not the bike. So now I have to use my phone with Apple Watch alongside the bike screen to do HR training. I would purchase a chest HR strap but I have no faith in the bike working with it and do not want to waste anymore money. Finally, the support for the bike is shocking. Cannot find any advice on the EX-5S that is useful and get ghosted by support. Just avoid and get a cheap as chips bike, because that’s all this is. Or splash a lot more on Peleton.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Echelon makes bad batch of pedals for echelon ex-5 series bike

Two years after my initial purchase I final invested in bike cleat shoes. Sadly it took me this long to discover there was a manufacturer error made in the pedals. The model claims the that it adapts to two, types of shoes, street shoes and bike shoes with cleats. Though this may be true the pedals sent with my bike were installed with reversed shoe cleats and and in order to switch from street shoes to Spd cleatbike shoes the pedals need to be removed
