I purchased this a while back for hot yoga. I LOVE THIS! It is great even for when I'm not doing hot yoga. It is super soft, the colors are vibrant, and do a great job of absorbing my sweat. The product feels durable and high quality. I sweat on my hands and feet so this is handy during all forms of exercises in the studio. I also love this because again, with the sweaty part, I use it to provide as a barrier from my yoga mat. I don't like thinking about the dirty stuff that my yoga mat could touch. Washing was easy and it fits in my yoga bag pretty nicely. I plan to purchase more over time since I go to yoga frequently and don't want to wash my towel to pieces!

I purchased this towel because of the great reviews. It does not disappoint. I wanted an affordable towel to use to practice hot yoga. This one is great! It fits perfectly over my yoga mat, it doesn't slide on the mat, and it absorbs sweat so I don't slide. The towel didn't bunch or move around. It was great to do hot yoga with this towel. It is also super soft and very colorful!

I really like this towel. For the price it works quite well. So, I noticed that everybody at my yoga class started bringing towels that sit on top of their yoga mats. I live in a beachy CA resort town, and needless to say, yoga here is pretty darn stylish. Not one to be left behind by my peers, I knew I needed a yoga towel. Well I'm stoked on it. The tie-dye look is pretty sweet, I feel like it's definitely the coolest looking towel at yoga class. I think it says, "yeah I'm into healthy living, but I also might have done psycadellics before." It's a fun looking towel and it definitely does feel like I'm getting a more solid grip on my mat. I also have a really basic yoga mat, so I found that when I perspired I'd start to slowly slip. This resolves that slipping, now I'm hitting these wild poses without hesitation and I can tell everybody is impressed. But also, I've felt the really nice towels they sell at that one designer outdoor equipment store, and the difference is that those ones have these little rubber studs on the bottom. I kinda wish this towel had some of those studs, but I recognize that is the difference in price point. Sometimes when I'm pivoting in my flow the towel will twist or bunch up and then I have to stop and reposition it on my mat, I wonder if a studded one would prevent that. Guess that's the trade off, but I still prefer the added traction this towel offers. Other stuff you're wondering.... it matches the size of my mat really well. While it doesn't have rubber bumps the material feels more rubbery than a regular towel. Yes, tie-die is the best color choice, get noticed.

I've been practicing hot yoga for several years. I've used several different towels. The Yoga Mate is really good at staying put. One of my biggest complaints about some of the towels out there is that they curl up on the end, or they are coated with some other non-slip material. This towel is great. It stays flat, its very soft, and they hold up well. I've been using one for now 5 days a weeks for 6 months. I wash it every day with my yoga shorts. It has held up well. I've been looking for a yoga mat to replace the bath towels that i have been using for my Bikram yoga practices. Since I sweat a lot, the bath towel I put on top of my yoga mat always get soaking wet and moved around during my practice. I am so glad that I found YogaMate on Amazon. I also purchased another brand. As soon as i received them; I immediately decided to try YogaMate first because it's twice as thick as the other one. After the first use (It didn't move around and it absorbed all my sweat without being soaking wet); I put it in the washer and washed it with dark colored laundry. I even put it in the dryer, the mat didn't shrink and it worked just fine. If you are a frequent yogi like me. I highly recommend to switch to YogaMate.

Great towel, good for gripping and resisting slippage. Was pleased with the size as well. It's lightweight, but long enough to almost completely cover my extra long mat. Easy to fold or roll for compact carrying. Small enough to reasonably fit in any gym bag, or rolled up into the mat or mat sack. Sometimes the description can be misleading, but this is exactly as is stated in the description. Super soft material durable enough that it hasn't torn, faded, or lost texture after a few weeks of normal yoga practices, and 2 or 3 good washes. Also noticed the material doesn't harbor any unpleasant smells after more than a week of use. Would be cool if there were some kind of yoga socks like this. Great product. I waited a while to post a review, but after about a month I am still pleased

Really like the color of this towel. I've only used it once for a short yoga flow class. I have to say that initially my hands slipped just a little. I momentarily considered taking the towel off my mat, but I left it on and experienced no further problems. Seems as though I needed just a little sweat worked up (or to wet my hands slightly) and it was great. No moving on my mat at all. I do yoga outside in my screened in gazebo and this time of year all yoga is "hot" yoga. I needed to stop slipping on my mat when I got sweaty and this seems to do the trick. I look forward to a longer session soon. I followed the directions and washed and dried the towel separately before use. Seems to be great quality. And none of those stupid little sticky nubs on the backside of it needed to keep it in place!
