Two separate items that can work together but you may not need both. First I hooked up the booster to my stock antenna. I live in a rural area not close to a big city and I went from 2 stations to 8. I felt that to be a vast improvement. Secondly I hooked up the electric antenna in place of the cars factory antenna to see if it could out perform a factory antenna. It performed equally to the factory antenna in conjunction with the booster so that is acceptable. The electric antenna included could replace a factory antenna that is beyond repair or for a custom car where you don’t want an antenna showing but I just needed the booster and I’m happy with it.
