Valley Forge American Flag 3ft x 5ft Cotton Best Brand

I hung this on an exterior wall of my house under a covered patio. I love the size and that it’s cotton. It is a bit see through so that may not meet the quality standards of other people but it won’t be out in the elements so it’s perfect for what I’m looking for.

This flag is a beauty! Deep red, crisp white and vibrant blue. Proud to have it out front of my home!

Maybe great for when the wind is blowing for this is certainly LIGHTWEIGHT! When down, like MOST of the time, one can see straight through it to the stripes right behind the folds! One can see one's neighbor's house straight through it! This is like crepe paper, only cotton crepe paper. I NEVER imagined that cotton could be made PURPOSELY with holes in it like this, JUST so the flag will wave in the wind? You have to ask yourself if you live in a REALLY windy place with a flagpole that stops the flag from winding around it or if you live in a place like Atlanta. We get some wind, sure. But most of the time, the breeze is under five miles per hour. The flag just sits there on the pole folded on itself with see through stripes just a' showing the other stripes very, very clearly! WHO knew such a thing even existed? I'm embarrassed. As a Viet Nam widow, this will not do, as I take flag flying SERIOUSLY with dedicated lighting as one is supposed to and buying only weather resistant American flags. For the windy places, you may have found a flag. Not me. I want a decent weight, cotton, sewn stars, double-stitched stripes flag. I don't know how I didn't know this. Be warned.

This product won't hold-up in winds exceeding 20 mph on a sustained basis, but it holds up better than the ones I've tried that have embroidered stars which usually start to unravel right away and you can't beat the price. Even in Kansas this serves well on most days and looks just as good as products costing 2 or 3 times more.

This flag is of well made workmanship, quality fabric and color. Always need to purchase a fabric flag for purposes of windy region. This makes for a quieter result on windy days. Proudly displaying the flag in the front with always a light for it at night. Shipping was on time and packaging arrived with product protected.

As a veteran, I like flying a cotton American flag, and normally I'd buy a Annin Bulldog cotton or a G-Spec cotton flag, but as of late, the quality of Annin cotton flags has gone downhill. The last two had faded so fast, it was ridiculous. I even treated the last Annin with a waterproofing agent to help the fading lessen. Didn't help. In fact I bought my next door neighbor a Annin Bulldog when I bought mine, and hers faded even faster than mine.This was a good purchase and I bought my next door neighbor one as well. She loves it and we both agree this is a better flag than the last Annin. Apparently these valley Forge flags are made an hour from my home.

The flag is fine for a "cheap" flag, however it's not as advertised. It's supposed to be cotton, it's not! It's mostly polyester. The stars are just printed on, not sewn on. It's also shear in the sunlight. I had ordered a "valley forge" edition flag before maybe 2 or 3 years earlier and it was amazing! By far the best flag I've ever seen. It was very heavy, thick cotton, had beautiful sewn stars, and the flag had a weathered (stained) type of color done to it, hence the "valley forge" edition flag. These 2 flags I just ordered are nothing even close to the original flag I bought. So buyer beware, it's not anything like it's advertised or how it's supposedto look and feel.
