Amazing Camera
This camera and floodlight is amazing! We bought it after our garage got broken into (our other Eufy cameras picked the event up and alerted us), we realised we needed extra garden light plus another camera to be secure. We automatically looked at Eufy as we have had 2 of their cameras (back door & front door) for a few years now and are very happy with them, so when we spotted this one it was an obvious choice. It came with full instructions (and book) and husband and son had it up in no time. It was easy to set up and easy to to sort the motion settings. The light is fantastic and the video is so very clear and the range exceptional. We love it big time.

Really good quality camera
Camera is good, and LOVE the fact there isn't a subscription service like a lot, the light has numerous settings on for brightness, our garden is 150ft long and the light travels to the bottom. As with any Eufy product, they are incredibly easy to set up. They unit itself is quite big in comparison to the ring floodlight cam we had before, but when its up on the wall it doesn't matter. Only criticism is it thinks our dog is a human :-)

Don't rely on the AI if that is your main reason for buying
overall, a very good product, if you have an outside light with a negative and positive wire, then this is very easy to install yourself. Just turn off your electrics before and you’re all good to go. Took me about 30 minutes. The system itself is quite big, but over time I didn’t even notice it light is perfect and motion works pretty solid. Cons: - Tracking is pretty hit a mess and a bit jumpy - very fuzzy at night even with all the lights turned on which lights up the place, but the image quality becomes incredibly poor, even at close range. - support takes at least 48 to 72 hours to respond to any queries - AI is pretty poor and I wouldn’t recommend anyone by this camera based on just the AI capability. It recognise my dog consistently as a human, it’s a poodle a very small one, it also recognise slippers left at the door or sandals. Should I say as human beings which means you get a number false alarms throughout the day. -The app can be very buggy at times. Notification says I have 200 unread notification, even though I only have one and it’s a consistent thing. Overall, a great product let down by poor customer service and lack of image processing to improve the night vision given the quality of the lights that it comes with and then that also means that I don’t think it’s worth the price. Love this replacement
Our old camera became faulty and this was a great deal to replace. Easy to set up, picks up motion well and great quality. App is easy to use. Eufy processed a welcome discount because of issues with the old one which was out of warranty and it's greatly appreciated. Good customer service.

Feeling safer.
I am really pleased with this. My electrician replaced my existing sensor light with this. Once twined with my WiFi, the product talks you through how to set it up. The two way talk and siren are a great addition to the security camera...and not having to pay a subscription is an added bonus. I feel much safer.

Poor security product
I find this product difficult to review. I’ve had this on my property for a few months, and can say it’s hard to rate as a security product. The image: there’s a few clips missing to whereas the car at 6 PM is going back on the driveway. - where is the clip of it coming off?? It records at a maximum of 120 seconds for an event that’s detected, but the re-record event doesn’t happened. I’ve had clips missing whereas the system had failed to either detect movement or there was a connection issue between the product and its cloud service. A security system which has onboard storage shouldn’t be dependent on the internet, which I’ve been informed by their support team is the case. So if you had no internet, then you’ll have no recordings. Or if the wifi is getting jammed by an attacker you will have no recordings. The quality isn’t amazing and there is no optical zoom. A purpose of a PTZ is to pan and tilt but to also zoom. The floodlight is good but sometimes there have been situations where it hasn’t come on. The RTSP feature is for events only which means it isn’t possible to continuously recording, it will only offload what’s technically has been recorded to the internal memory. The internal memory cannot be upgraded, so if there’s a lot of movement and you are writing a lot, the internal memory will fail a quicker resulting in the device being unusable. The product ultimately is poor to me, the issues can be addressed but not without buying another product. Also the mounting bracket doesn’t have an indent for where the cable would be, so when it’s screwed into the wall, the bracket warps which can allow ingress of rain water. Eufy as a secure product is a gimmick. If there’s any security related incident you need, I wouldn’t put my trust in this. There’s hardware limitations followed by massive software restrictions. The entire eufy product line limits RTSP to where some devices don’t even allow it at all.

##DOWNGRADED## The AI on this camera is impressive. VERY few false alarms!
##DOWNGRADED## Initially I thought this camera was near perfect, now after not much more than a year in (AND THEREFORE NOW OUT OF WARRANY), the unit on the side of the garage has let moisture in and the dome is misted. There are small cracks on the top of the camera housing, probably caused by weathering. Eufy offered me 30% off another camera....not good enough when it's sold as "Weatherproof" and costs circa £270. I'm therefore going to attempt to open it up, dry it out and seal it up, possibly with some modifications to protect it while it's in this wall mounted configuration. The other one I have is in a ceiling mounted config, and is perfectly fine being shielded from the weather. So, BEWARE. Oh, and at time of writing, this camera is STILL not compatible with the Homebase 3 (late May 2023 they say), nor is my 2k video dual cam doorbell and useless until it is (although that "should" be resolved by Eufy end of this month...hopefully). ########################################## ADDITIONAL: I took the camera apart to dry out and re-seal. Cracks on the casing go all the way through after only about 16 months. (see photos). SUSPICIOUSLY ODD isn't it to find a 5g pouch of silica gel inside? This probably pushes the longevity of the camera just over 1 yr seeing as that is the warranty. I've never seen electronics with that inside before....have you?? MSG TO EUFY: Fix your casing please. ########################################## Original review: If you want only to detect people movement this camera is getting towards perfect. We have two of these, one in the front watching the cars, one in the garden watching the, well, garden (we've had hedge hopping thieving ba@#ards a couple of times). Oddly, it detects our Labrador as a human, but that doesn't bother us as it tells us when she's done her "thing" and is ready to come in :D Things that could be improved: 1. The AI could "maybe" be a bit better and isolate the doggie?? An option maybe? 2. The detection of a person might possibly be quicker and subsequent notification? If someone's is in the front pondering whether to shatter a car window or not, it might give you more time to wake up a bit and do something about it (shout at them through the speaker option from you phone and tell them the old bill are on their way) 3. I've got it set up to bong the Alexa devices around the house, but there's sometimes quite a delay before it does..This is likely an AWS issue and not Eufy? I could go on and on about the things this camera offers but I can tell you it's worth it and it's still being improved. Only one thing that bothers me atm, the recordings are stored in the camera unless you set up a home NAS with RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) which could be expensive in the short term, or, subscribe to Eufy's cloud backup, cheap in the short term but not in the long term. Ok, maybe one other thing, the web viewer is flaky, doesn't always play the cameras via a web browser on PC for example..but I use my phone anyhow. I'll upload a human-dog video once I get it downloaded so you can check quality...maybe (don't know if Amazon will downscale), but you'll get an idea of the motion detection, tracking, night vision and lighting at least!

Bin grundsätzlich begeistert und inzwischen Fan von Eufy, habe inzwischen 8 verschiedene Kameramodelle gekauft für Haus und Hof. Allerdings ist die 4K Bildauflösung bei Vergrößerung (z.B. zur Identifizierung von Einbrechern, Fremden etc.) indoor und vor allem outdoor mäßig, aber kein Eufy-spezifisches, sondern allgemeines Problem. Daher noch größere Bildauflösung wählen, wem es wichtig ist, im Falle einer Straftat wirklich den Täter identifizieren zu können. Empfehlenswert ist in jedem Fall wegen KI-Unterstützung bzw. -verbesserung die Anschaffung einer Eufy Homebox, v.a. bei Betrieb mehrerer Kameras und bei gewünschter Speicherung von Videomaterial. Eufy-Support ist allerdings nur bedingt hilfreich und bedingt kulant. Anfangs gab es Probleme mit falsch bestellten Kameras und der Retoure, bis sich die Mutterfirma ANKER eingeschaltet hat - diese war absolut kulant und sehr hilfreich, Retoure war überhaupt kein Problem - Top Service von ANKER. Wegen des Services von ANKER bin ich der Marke treu geblieben. Ich habe vor, weitere Kameras von dieser Marke zu kaufen und das Homenetz auszubauen. Sehr gut und verlässlich ist auch der Zugriff auf Kameras aus der Ferne, z.B. Indoorkameras bei Eltern. Auch die Tonqualität ist sehr gut. Einfache Installation mittels QR-Code und App.
