So we love the amethyst and we love plants so I thought what a cool idea for my grandson - I got it for him as a gift and we follow the watering instructions, but the poor plant/tree seems to keep dying. I’ve even submerged it in water for a couple of hours. Then taken it out, but within two three hours he is thirsty again. I don’t know, I don’t think the amethyst and the plant can support each other sufficientlyUPDATE So it is the end of February 2019 now and we have had to permanently separate the plant from the amethyst and pretty much submerge it in water.
