At first I thought this was just FAF (Firm As F***). I am a light weight 5/9 140. I looked into returns but saw there is a disclaimer: You must get an RMA and Returns are subject to a 15% restock fee plus the cost of outbound & inbound shipping costs. So I decided I would just keep it no matter what, maybe it would settle. Well it has and is quite comfortable and supportive. I stuck it inside my old chair pad's cloth material cuz I don't like sitting on vinyl. This is the only pad I could find that is a true 16x16 and not 16x18 (which hangs over my chair sides). So I gave it 5 stars it's actually a really nice combination of firm and supportive that also keeps my balls from burning when sitting too long.

I have tried every combination of pillows and cushions to stop the discomfort of sitting for long periods at my computer and nothing worked until I tried this one cushion. It's firm enough to keep you supported, yet it yields enough to remain comfortable. No more pain! It does come with a slick cover, but I just put a cotton pillow case over it (I have the 16" size cushion) to solve that problem. I also have a low file cabinet next to my computer desk. I put a cushion on that so I can put my feet up and be totally relaxed while I "compute" the day away ( I do need to get out more for exercise!). This is great product!

This is a sturdy cushion that holds u well. It's a good thickness to sit on and the cover is removable in case it needs a cleaning. After a short time it does take on the shape of the curved seat of the wheelchair, which I think is a benefit but others may not. The cover is made up of two different fabrics, one better for sliding when transitioning from the wheelchair, the other better for quick clean up with a damp cloth. Removing the case from the firm foam interior requires unzipping it and wrenching the foam filling out of the zipper's opening. It's worth the price, comes in different sizes to match most wheelchair seat dimensions. If you insist on a soft seat, this might not be your choice, but I like the firmness.

I needed something that was going to soften the blow on my poor backside, as I have to sit at a desk for several hours a day and type transcripts. My "ergonomic" desk chair really skipped out on the cushioning, so I tried memory foam pillows -- which flattened right out and provided little relief. I researched all of the various cushions out there and simply couldn't afford some of the pricey ones with near-five-star reviews, so I gave this one a try. I must say that for under $25, I am amazed at the quality. I didn't realize that air wouldn't "whoosh" out of this thing and it really does feel like gel in there. You can feel it "roll" around when you shift your weight. I must admit that it's been amazing so far! I'm not saying it's like sitting on a cloud (think they're going to have to discover anti-gravity to achieve that), but it's no longer like sitting on a boulder. I'm very, very happy with this cushion and hope it will last me a while.

I bought this for my husband’s wheelchair. It is smooth on both sides and he kept sliding down on it. Having Parkinson’s, he is not able to keep from sliding out of the chair. I found a different cushion at Bed Bath & Beyond. It was about $20 and the material on both sides is not smooth. He has not slid out of his chair in the last two weeks and he says it is comfortable.

This seems like a quality seat pad and was comfortable but unfortunately it didn’t fit my mother’s wheelchair. Just a warning, if this cushion doesn’t work for you or your loved one your stuck with it, they don’t except returns.

the top of the cushion is to slick and the person in the wheel chair can slide out and at the very least feel unsafe
