Rainbow Magic: Elisha the Eid Fairy: The Festival Fairies Book 3

Lovely story, easy to read for a child between 7-9 years old. It is great that children can learn about different cultures and religions through their favorite book series. The seller was very responsive and gracious when there were delays during shipment.

We were so happy to see an Eid version of the rainbow fairy books. For muslim families like us, this is really nice to see and for other children it’s great too to learn about other religions, cultures and communities so I thought it’s great. The book is a typical Rainbow Fairies story where the girls work with the fairies against Jack Frost, this time they are working to save the eid festival and the story casually introduces readers to the topic of what is Ramadan, what is Eid, foods that are eaten at the feast and so on. It’s great and very inclusive but in a fun way

Ich habe als Kind dieses Buchreihe verschlungen und kaufe jetzt die nach die mir fehlen. Nach meiner Zeit in einem arabisch sprachigen Land war ich begeistert dass es ein Fee zu Eid gibt.

This is book 3 of 4 in the Rainbow Magic festival fairies series and I do recommend that you read them in order so as to get a fuller understanding and to avoid spoilers of the previous two books. This follows the girls as they try to prevent Jack Frost making everything about him whilst giving an insight to the festival of Eid. I love how the book introduces children to religious festival that they cover in their school curriculum but in a way appropriate for their age and understanding. The 7 child really enjoyed these books and was able to read them independently with only a little help.

This is one of four books from Rainbow Magic's religious festivities series. Elisha the Eid Fairy is kidnapped and her mystical magical Eid lantern is stolen by the notorious Jack Frost and thus, Eid celebrations everywhere, are ruined!! ....Except, that ..an Eid lantern has as much relevance to Eid, as the Yule log has to Christmas. Probably less even than that. The story could have gone further by actually shining a light on facts about Eid, delivered in none other than a rainbow-magic way. It would have been nice too, for a young reader, to see a bit more diversity to Elisha's rescuing squad at the end of the tale too, considering this is a book about a diverse and worldwide festivity. 3 stars.
