Does it cut as close as a razor?

It does not cut as close as a blade razor, but it does cut very close. And if you are prone to getting razor bumps or burn, It’s a good choice.

Does this razor contour with the head? Some I purchased in the past did not

It contours somewhat, but not enough. It gave me trouble with the back of my head and the very top. also not all heads are equal, it might be useful to you.
