I read many of the reviews and have waited a long time to order this as several were very negative towrds it. I am currently on day 2 after having installed it. (Very easy by the way). I got it or my 32 gallon coralife biocube and I am wishing I would have done this 10 months ago when I reset up this tank! Water is so much clearer! As far as, the longevity of the bulb, I cannot speak to that as I perviously stated it has only been running for 2 days. However, in those 2 days the water is so much more clearer.

I was looking for a UV Sterilizer for my Coralife Biocube 29 reef tank. Even after all the bad reviews I read about this model. I decided to go with the Coralife UV Sterilizer because it is made to fit in the Coralife Biocube 29. I figured how bad could it really be? Well, it turned out that all the previous reviews were spot on.I thought it was easy to hook up and it fit really well. Unfortunately, as soon as I hooked it up it started leaking. In the beginning the UV light worked and it was consistent for about a week. Then the UV light would come on only periodically until 3 weeks later it quit completely. So I sent it back. I really had high hopes for this Coralife UV Sterilizer because I like the quality of the Biocube 29. I'm surprised that Coralife offers a UV Sterilizer that is of such poor quality. I would not recommend it to anybody. It's not worth the money or the aggravation.

Firstly, I was impressed by the compact size of this sterilizer. It fit perfectly into my Biocube 29 aquarium and did not take up too much space. The sleek design also looks great in my aquarium setup. It should therefor also fit perfectly in the 32 gallon and i assume the package says also the 16 gallon version is supported.In terms of performance, this sterilizer definitely delivers. It effectively kills harmful bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, helping to keep my aquarium clean and healthy. Since installing it, I have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of algae and "Dino" growth in my tank.I also appreciated the ease of use of this product. It was very easy to install and set up, and I did not need any special tools or equipment. The instructions were clear and straightforward, which made the process even easier.Lastly, the 5 watt UV lamp is a great value for the price. It is an affordable option for those looking to improve the cleanliness of their aquarium without breaking the bank.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the Coralife Biocube Ultraviolet Sterilizer Mini, 5 Watt UV Lamp from Amazon. It is a high-performing, easy-to-use product that is also a great value. If you're looking to improve the health of your aquarium, I highly recommend giving this product a try!

***update***Somehow this started working again a day after I left my initial review and has been working flawlessly since. It has done an amazing job with combating algae.But it only lasted a day. Now the light doesn't come on. Very disappointed because I do like Coral Life's products. I should have listened to the many reviews about the bulb. Return initiated, its going back.

These things are total garbage. I’ve returned 3 now. 1 had a bad bulb (broken filament) and the other two bulbs look like they have 1000+ hours on them already. Is this how they come new? Would stay away from this headache.

First one came in with a completely defective bulb. Amazon had me a replacement unit the next day no extra charge and new unit works as expected

I highly recommend this sterilizer, which I have paired with a Maxijet 1200 pump. I have an identical one running on my 50 gallon along with a GFO reactor. I have found that I do not need to run my skimmer anymore - I'm sure it can only help, but it is not necessary anymore. With this sterilizer your water will be crystal clear and pathogens not in sight. I highly recommend for any marine aquarium. I picked up another one for my nano just because the results were incredible! Bulb changes can be expensive, so be aware of that before purchasing!

I have a Bio Cube 32 that has been running for about three months. All of my levels (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) are almost zero. Despite this and doing water changes I was having an algae issue. Had to clean the glass multiple times per day and the water was cloudy. The other filtration is the standard BioCube filter and ChemiPure Blue.I added the UV Sterilizer and within a day there was a remarkable difference. The water cleared up and the algae started to disappear. I've had it running for about four days and the difference in the tank is remarkable. The tank keeps looking better every day. At this point the water is crystal clear.There has been some discussion in the reviews about how often to run the sterilizer. I've been letting it run 24 hours a day. Many of the marine fish forums suggest this.I can't speak to longevity yet but so far i'm very happy with this purchase.To install the unit you will need to cut the existing tube running from the pump. The kit includes and elbow the attaches to the top of the sterilizer and fits right into the existing BioCube return fitting.

After purchasing a uv panel I knew I needed more than passive flow so purchased this little beauty and with a bit of fitment (TMC next wave 85 aio) and dialling in etc I’m happy to say perfect for my needs and also very compact fits aio chamber with room to spare ,quick shipping too USA to uk six days inc weekend 👌🏼

It didn't work. I am wondering whether it was faulty or simply it is coming with a US plug and that was the problem. Even if you use the US to UK adapter the UK juice is 240V. This appliance accepts 120V input. If that was the problem maybe they shouldn't sell the product in the UK, bottom line.
