Pure Goodness Dry Cat Food, Real Salmon, 10 lb

I bought ths because my dog sneaks in the laundry room and eats my cat food and he is allergic to chicken. i didnt realzie how many cat foods use chicken bi-product and meal as an addiitive. i was so happy to find this. Not only is my cat now restrictive eating because she absolutely hates this food, my dog doesnt break out - its a win for me LOL - i do wish my cat enjoyed it better, but she is just barely eating because she hates this food so much

I have to buy special food for my Cat. This is the only brand I've found on the market that has no poultry in their ingredients. I don't think it's the best flavor but my cat is hyper sensitive to anything that has poultry and finding this brand doesn't use it (in 2 of their flavors), us a pleasant relief. Will recommend anytime. Not cheap, bit worth it.

It smells like Salmon cans, but my cat does not like it…

I have A LOT of cats. Seriously I run a small cat shelter in my home by default. I’m always trying to find an affordable cat food that’s still healthy, edible, nutritious, I flat refuse to feed carnivores food that doesn’t have meat as the 1st ingredient. I used to find this on sale at PetSmart sometimes & would get so excited, knowing it was a step up from their usual food. Once I found it on Amazon, this has become the regular food. I get a bag of the chicken & a bag of the tuna (for chubby cats), mix them together and haven’t had a single cat turn their nose up. Literally I’m talking about a dozen cats so I’d say if you haven’t yet, give it a try! If yours won’t eat it, I’m sure you can find some strays or a shelter to donate it to & move on to another flavor. The tuna smells pretty stout so that might encourage pickier eaters. I prefer not to feed only tuna because I don’t want to encourage snobby eating habits if I can help it. Good luck!

Imagine that overly enthusiastic health guru at a party who keeps raving about kale smoothies while everyone else is enjoying pizza. My cats took one whiff of this “healthy” meal and looked at me like I just offered them a kale smoothie for dinner. One sniff, and they executed a flawless ninja move to avoid it like it was a vacuum cleaner on a rampage. Then they begged me to feed them because obviously I hadn't offered them any food ALL DAY. Honestly, I don't blame them—if I had to choose between a healthy meal and a slice of pizza, I'm diving head-first into the pizza! My cats suggest saving money on the packaging of this kale smoothie and just throwing some salmon on the floor instead. I'm so glad I researched this and got the best food I could find for my little junk food ninjas.

My vet had me buying a super expensive brand of hydrogenated food claiming it was all my cat could tolerate. Well it smelled horrible, had super big pieces and my cat ate just enough to survive. I weaned her off her current food and eased her into this one and she has been doing great. No more skin issues and the smaller pieces mean she doesn't up chuk all the time. I have to guess it tastes good because she keeps on eating it and I have the exact same food for my dog and he loves it. Canidae is also a bit pricey but it is worth it for the quality ingredients.

Nothing wrong with the quality here it's a great premium dry food. Unfortunately, my cat didn't care for it that much and turns her nose up at it half the time. Glad it's healthy, but I'll probably try a different flavor next time to see if she likes it any better.

My cats are determined to make my life a living hell since buying this food. They will not rest until I have sated their desire- which is to rend open the bag upon arrival and allow them to attempt to eat all of it in a single sitting. Their gluttony knows no bounds and I live in fear that one day they will finally turn against me to eat more of their precious salmon kibble with no chicken by-products. They've even turned my greatest supporter among their ranks to their cause in the name of eating way too much of their tiny fishy crunchies of joy. They cannot get enough! I must stop them from getting enough! My post here defending the cat food from the cats to keep them from making themselves sick is more important than any one of us and it is my duty and honor to serve the cause no matter what the future holds for me.
