Wear size 8. First time ordered 38, exchanged for 39. Toe strap cuts into big toe one foot. Little toes up against bed. Do I need 40? How break in toe

I wear a 7 and buy 38 so seems a 39 would work for you. I own many Helen Sandler and love them. All I wear for comfort. Yes sometimes leather around toe is rough in beginning, but cHanges quickly. Leather does soften. My toes are close to top of toe bed, but fit fine. Work on leather by toe a little. Should be perfect in no time.broken in shoes are always best.

Are the size 11 a 41 or 42? I just tried on the 41 at a local store and they were to short.

a size 41 is like a 10-10.5 and the 42 is a 11-11.5

My Mephisto sandals need reconditioning so I can continue to enjoy them?

1. Mephisto has a leather conditioner which works well.2. It is important that the cork sealer that Mephisto suggests is applied to the corks sole on a regular basis as it binds the cork so that it will last longer; the cork has a tendency to crumble and fall apart after a while. Both products are sold by Amazon.
