Great for Novice Chicken Owners.
Great product for housing 4 Rhode Island Reds we got last May. My 15 year old grandson assembled it all by himself in a very short time. We mounted it up on 2x4s with added hardware cloth attached on the bottom to deter predators. We also replaced the latches with some that were a bit bigger and we added a lock to the outside door of the nesting box where you extract the eggs; it does not come with one. I chose to add a metal cabinet handle to the tray that pulls out — I simply prefer that type handle. I gave only three stars for the weather proof as the wood is a little soft, but we sprayed a sealer on all parts before we assembled it. It won’t last forever but we’re new at chickens and I am very satisfied it will likely last a few years. We did keep the chicks in there all day initially when they were old enough and you can do it if necessary, but now that they are older they need to be out during the day. It’s a little crowded with their food and water. The tray removes easily for cleaning and hosing down as needed. The bottom of the nesting box can also be removed for cleaning. That is a big plus. One problem was the handle that lets you slide the house door open and closed to let the chickens enter or leave the nesting area. The handle makes letting them out and closing up at night a breeze without having to reach all the way into the cage, but the screws fell out and we cannot reach in to re-attach. We are making do with using it as a hook to move the door. It works.Ironically we received two of these (and were charged for them both) due to an ordering mistake (partly my fault). One from Amazon and one from the supplier direct. We returned one and received credit but within a month of returning it we took possession of 3 silkie chicks and needed another nesting house. I was so sorry I had returned the second one and they were out of stock when I wanted to re-order. We had to order a smaller one that is functional but smaller. I would order this Best product again. We are in the process of constructing a wire run that will enclose both houses and give all the chickens outside room to run. This chicken house is big enough that my 6 year old granddaughter can climb inside (see photo). Wish I had another.

Poor quality
Very poor quality construction. Flimsy wood, comes with no instructions, and no hardware for assembly.

Flimsy locks for the doors!
It's a great coop for, a max, of three of the smaller size bantam chickens! I have three Millie Fleurs bantams and they fit perfect in it. The assembly was easy to do! The instructions are very easy to follow. It seems pretty sturdy, except for the door locks! They're very flimsy, and can easily tear up! I do see myself having to replace them before much longer! Also, i'll be adding weather sealer as well. The nesting box lid doesn't suggest a lock so, i used one of the locks from the wire run door, cause it calls for two on that door. I just used one lock, in the center of the wire door, and used the other lock on the nesting box lid. Again, i'll be replacing all the locks soon with a sturdy locks! Another thing, i moved the roosting bars up higher because they're just way to low and my chickens didn't like them that low! Since i moved them up higher, my chickens are finally roosting on them! So, i'm giving three stars for the waterproof, five stars for easy assembly, and four stars because another lock should've been added to the nesting box lid, and the roosting bars should be marked up higher then the instructions call for! Over all, it's a great LITTLE coop
