Needs Better Outdoor Flight and to be Repairable.
Overall fun and easy to learn to fly. I really like the aircraft platform. A bit overpriced for what it is, but for those wishing to start, it is a nice, non-simulator way of learning the flight controls. No full acro-mode. Just altitude hold mode. It can fly outside but only in no to little wind. It does have dual rates, so use the high rate for outdoors. It has plastic gears and brushed motors. In high temperatures and long operational use the gear teeth will chip. Also, the brushed motors will fail rather quickly. Don't attempt to repair this will void the 2 year warranty. But again, this wasn't designed to be repairable. Not customizable with BetaFlight. Cannot bind a third-party radio controller. Don't waste money on the "FPV" camera. The viewing angle isn't wide enough, the camera is mounted too low, doesn't pan up enough to look ahead in forward flight, and the camera can't be rotated to level the view ( tilted to right or left ) to the aircraft. Also, only googles like the discontinued Google Daydream would make this really FPV. Can't use DJI googles nor FatShark googles. SYMA should improve on this platform to better outdoor flight and make it repairable and full acro-mode and better FPV...bigger and heavier frame...brushless motors without a gearbox...maybe three bladed blades...programmable flight controller...OpenTx compatible receiver. Consider a 4DRC 4D-V10. It is less expensive with same feature. Or the Drone Hawk aircraft series.

Great beginner drone for kids or adults
This is not my son's first drone so learning to fly was not an issue. With the two included batteries he can fly for 45 min or more depending on the type of flying he does. He said flying outside is fun but if there is any wind it's not a great experience. He much prefers flying indoors through our house or in a large room like a gym. The app was a bit of a pain to get linked and working. We ended up contacting the seller and had a wonderful experience with their customer service. 5 Stars for the customer service. After connecting with them we learned that we needed to pair the bluetooth before launching the app. It seems like it would be better to launch the app then have the app open a dialogue box to connect the bluetooth, but now that we know it is not a big deal. Overall, this is a fun little drone to play with. This is a toy and that should be kept in mind. If you are looking to actually take photos or video with this for a project you may want to think again. If you are looking for a fun toy that also has video and photos, this may meet your needs.

Very Stylish Drone Flys OK
I bought this cool looking drone to replace my traditional X style drone also by Syma (whose batteries no longer hold a good charge). However this style of helicopter drone pails in comparison when it comes to speed, control, and fly ability. Inside the drone flies really well, with no stray wind to blow it off course; this thing zips around and looks really cool doing it. But outside, (even on a wind free day) this drone struggles to move against even the slightest breeze. Also, “high G” style maneuvers (like a quick turnaround) cause the drone to wobble and lose lift (causing it to fall to the ground). I tried running the Syma app that works with it, but the app wont open and crashes on my iPhone 11 and iPad Air... Would really like to use the camera. I will try one of Syma's other video drope apps and hope for the best. Overall it’s ok and fun when flying indoors or outside if the conditions are perfect. It does look really cool and futuristic, but just doesn’t handle incredibly well if you want to race around a course outside. A classic case of form over function.

NOT AN OUTSIDE DRONE!
I have been flying drones for about ten years now. This thing is way seriously under powered for any flight outside unless there is 0mph wind. It's to light weight for even a simple breeze. And that's on HIGH! I don't understand how it can get more then one star. It's not even worth that. 86$ and it's way to light, even more underpowered and the camera is NOT A 1080p cam. The resolution is crap. I would not recommend this product for this price to ANYONE!.....EVER! It's junk. Indoor fly foy at best. And I'm being nice there. UPDATE: The company listened to my complaint and they did make it right and stood behind their product. For this reason I changed my star rating to a 3 because of them taken care of my issues.

Test Flight was Outstanding!
It was a birthday gift for our Grandson and he loved it! We charged both batteries (one battery lasts over fifteen minutes) and tomorrow, he's got thirty-plus minutes of fun. This is a very well-made chopper of the present day. The fold-out propellers, light, and propeller guards performed very well and this chopper has a camera for a light-wind day outdoors. Indoors, the wind the four propellers move to stay aloft is plenty and the Chopper did very well right out of the box. Detailed instructions should be adhered to and memorized to get everything out of this bird a young man can.

It works....is...is that what....is that an acceptable headline?
I got it in a box, I took it out of said box, I charged the batteries...it didn't fly at first so read mysterious tome that came with it, the words upon the face was inscribed with a mysterious word 'manual' and as I descended through this ancient knowlage, I began to understand this lost art from the long gone 'SYMA' people, who were they? How were they this advanced, and so quickly, where did they go, and more importantly, how can I wield this power of this 'drone' that they created? As I slowly learned to fly it, the 'drone' became my puppet, with strings of invisible waves, I controlled its movement, its direction, its destiny, I controlled the sky, and soon....the world... Then it crashed into the side of my house, then tree branches, then my car...overall... I had fun playing with it.

Gift for my son’s graduation —-HORRIBLE
We got this as a beginner drone, the problem t is that I does not stay stable in the air, even after calibration. Always goes a direction by itself, even when is there is no air pressure. Don’t buy!! Save your money. Battery lasts about 5 minutes each.

Fast an Fun!
I have bought my share of helicopter and drones for my son. This by far is the best one. I have played w it more then he has. The controls are easy to learn an use. The box has extra batteries and helicopter fins for those crash moments. This thing is super fast you can literally feel the air as it zips past your face. Will definitely recommend.
