I though they'd be bigger but they are about half the height of a standard test tube. This wasn't an issue for me because I can still use them as I wanted. I've only given 4 stars because of the lids. You get a grey, rubber bung to seal the bottles and then an aluminium lid to go on top of that. The rubber bung is okay, it works well as a lid, but I'm not sure I'd trust it in anything other than an upright position as it comes out fairly easily. The aluminium top seems to have come from a different sized bottle because it just sits on top, it doesn't attach in any way and is of no use at all to me.
