Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Case (11th Generation), Thin and Light, Foldable Protective Cover - Leather

An attractive and well manufactured product that fit my Kindle like a glove. My only reservation is believing it is made of leather... maybe, but don't expect something you'd typically identify as leather. (Super attractive, but leather?) Beyond that, let me brag on Amazon for a moment. This particular item was offered at a significant discount because it had been returned with a small interior blemish. If there's a small interior blemish on this case I'll need to buy a microscope to find it. This is so typical of Amazon customer service, always so exemplary that you wind up feeling they performed far better than you actually deserve.

I have the Paperwhite Signature, think it is 11th generation. When I bought it, I picked the Kindle case that kind of looks like denim fabric. It did not hold up well. In a very short time, a month or so, it was fraying around the edges - though I admit, the Kindle was tossed into my bag and taken everywhere with me, I was not precious with it - still, one would expect an almost $40 case to hold up for longer than it did. Structurally it is still fine, it just looks bad with the edges all fuzzy. I have had $10 device cases that held up better. This one is not fabric. So far I like it. In the description it says leather, though I am not sure about that, it doesn’t feel like leather. Maybe it is some mixture of leather and plastic. I am hoping whatever it is, it will stay looking nice for longer. I got the Merlot color, which is like a dark brick red. It has texture, which I like, it feels good in your hands and is not slippery at all. I think I might get a fabric sleeve or pouch to keep it in when I take it with me, just for some extra protection, and will update my review in a few months.

I got this cover as part of a bundle for my new Paperwhite. It's super nice! The texture is just right in your hands. It's got a little magnet to help clip the cover to itself when you have the cover open and folded back on itself. Your Kindle automatically goes to sleep when you close the cover, and automatically wakes up when you open it. It's not super sturdy, so don't plan on being careless with your Kindle, but it's certainly no lightweight, either! I've already dropped my Paperwhite half a dozen times and the case really does help. My only complaint would be is that the cover side is sort of flimsy, especially at the "binding". Make sure you tuck the cover back in itself because I'm 99% sure that binding won't take a ton of abuse. ETA: I've had this case for about a year now. To be honest, I didn't expect it to last as long as it has, so I thought maybe a short retrospective for potential buyers would be helpful. This case has been dropped, had (a little!) water spilled on it, been wiped down with Clorox wipes, slept on, stepped on, dropped, and, once, when I had a fit of pique, thrown. Yes, all of that, with the Kindle in it and all. It's surprising this thing has lasted so long and that I haven't shattered my Kindle. Some of the edges are beginning to fray just slightly. The front cover still sits flush with the Kindle screen, but if I grab it just so, the cover will skew a bit. Looks like the "binding" is starting to loosen up. Pretty sure the back part of the cover (which holds the actual Kindle) could survive the apocalypse. The front cover will probably fall off by the end of next year in my case. Two years isn't bad to be quite honest. If you're a "gentle" user, the thing might last twice that. Great value case.

I’ve always wished for a Kindle case that truly matches the color of my device—and this one delivers. Unlike other third-party cases (and even Amazon’s cork option) that feature black plastic, this case matches the color of my Kindle Paperwhite 11th gen perfectly, making it look like an integrated part of the device. The leather feels real (bonded most likely, like many bibles), the plastic grips the Kindle securely, and the overall look is clean and seamless.

I bought this cover as part of a bundle when I bought a new Kindle Paperwhite, it says it’s leather, but it’s pretty cheap and plasticky feeling if you ask me. Of course, I was spoiled by my jack spade cover. That’s really Kate spade, but her line for men. I have those for my old Nook color, my old Kindle Fire, and an older iPad…Just for comparison, I attached a photo of the Jack Spade Kindle Fire cover. I think this case is mostly hard plastic with a very thin layer of leather or fake leather glued on, so that is why the leather feels stiff and like it doesn’t give/bend like other covers do. It’s fine as a basic case and it does help to wake-up/put to sleep the Kindle when you open/close. Since it looks like Jack Spade is out-of-business, it will do and I’ll see how it holds up….

Ho acquistato questa cover in pelle con interno in microfibra per il mio nuovo Kindle Paperwhite. Avrei potuto scegliere qualsiasi altra custodia presente nello store ma, sulla base di brutte esperienze pregresse con la cover generica del mio vecchio Paperwhite versione 2015, ho preferito evitare. Questa cover offre una bellissima sensazione tattile garantendo, al tempo stesso, una perfetta comodità e protezione: infatti, è possibile leggere tenendo il dispositivo con una mano sola visto che la custodia è magnetica e può essere ripiegata. Inoltre, è utile per attivare e mettere in standby il Kindle automaticamente. Un'ultima nota sul colore. Scorrendo altre recensioni di questo prodotto, ho notato che il verde agave non è per tutti. Alcuni di voi potranno vederlo come una sorta di verde sbiadito ma fidatevi che dal vivo è molto più interessante e particolare rispetto alle immagini presenti nella pagina prodotto. In ogni caso, se preferite, nello store sono presenti colorazioni più "standard" come bordeaux, nero e blu. Insomma, se desiderate un oggetto di qualità questa cover è un must! Consiglio l'acquisto a tutti i possessori di Kindle e specialmente a coloro che, come me, sono sempre in movimento e amano leggere. Inoltre, elemento tutt'altro che scontato, se utilizzate frequentemente il lettore nell'arco della giornata è molto più soddisfacente avere una bella cover, lussuosa, che vi faccia piacere guardare e tenere in mano; potrebbe diventare proprio uno dei tanti aspetti che contribuirà a farvi leggere più eBook rispetto a libri cartacei.

I have had this for some time now and it still looks as good as when I first bought it. In fact I bought two.

This has been a seriously excellent buy. I had an earlier version and this newest version (whilst taking time to figure out) is excellent and I finally enjoy being able to read when there is no light in my surroundings! This is a great e-reader

Big fan of green as a color and this cover did not disappoint.
