Product Description Soler & Palau Sidewall Centrifugal Exhaust Fan utilizes the same powerful motor found in the popular PV Series fans, yet the SWF series is encased in an exterior mounted housing. The outdoor rated exterior housing provides easy access from the outside of a building or dwelling. These exhaust fans are designed for easy, through the wall installation. The totally enclosed motor design allows for the SWF to operate in high moisture, lint, and dust-laden air. The ventilation unit also includes a built-in backdraft damper and an extended opening exhaust grille. The larger grille allows for the easy exhaust of dirty or lint laden air while the spring-loaded backdraft damper helps prevent insects and other animals from entering duct work. Soler & Palau offers a range of fans, dampers, controllers, and ventilation accessories for various households, small office premises, and restaurants to industrial applications. Review: Work great!! - For situations where there is no place to run a duct and you need to vent directly out a wall--this fan is TERRIFIC. I've installed two in two different bathrooms (in a house with a flat roof and therefore no attic), and they work very well. Painted the fan the color of the house and they look fine. Only think is, these fans don't come with an interior grill. We found round ones that fit at Home Depot.

Paint appears to be high grade as well (powder coat?). Like the Lindab-style duct collar (common in the HVAC world). I am using this on an addition to my home which includes a garage. I wanted something aesthetically pleasing on the outside of the structure, since it was being installed on the sidewall. I would have given it five stars, except have not run it enough to determine functional attributes.

For situations where there is no place to run a duct and you need to vent directly out a wall--this fan is TERRIFIC. I've installed two in two different bathrooms (in a house with a flat roof and therefore no attic), and they work very well. Painted the fan the color of the house and they look fine.
