The first use of cacao can be traced back over 5,000 years to the desertcart Jungle in South America. Cacao was valued by the Mayan and Aztec civilizations for increasing vitality. Cacao beans were also used as currency in ancient times and were valued more than gold. "Zeal” means the immense energy to passionately pursue one’s goals, dreams and purposes. Zeal Superfoods was born from the passionate pursuit of our goal to find only the purest, most nutritious Superfoods growing in their native lands. As such, we named our brand Zeal Superfoods. At Zeal Superfoods, we are passionate about offering you the highest quality, organic Superfoods directly from the source. Mother nature only selects environments with perfect growing conditions for the most nutrient-rich foods to thrive naturally: Their native lands. Nowadays, most Superfoods are cultivated in foreign lands with less than ideal growing conditions to fulfill high global demands. This results in food with less purity, reduced nutrients and unethical practices. Our vision is for our Superfoods to help provide you with the vitality you need to passionately pursue your goals, dreams and purposes! From our growers to our customers, we are committed to improving people’s well-being and quality of life. Review: My favorite cacao! - Raw & organic were the main selling points when I first tried this cacao. However, it also blends far better than another major brand I have tried. The flavor is rich and delicious. I use a small battery-operated whisk to blend it into a bit of hot water, then add hot milk from a frother while blending. I don't miss coffee a bit! This package is easy to carry and even mix up in a hotel when traveling, if you don't mind heating your milk in a microwave. ## Features - PURITY AND QUALITY - Our certified USDA Organic Cacao Powder is Vegan, Raw, Keto and Paleo friendly, Kosher and Top 8 Allergen-Free. Obviously, zero is best. Thanks** A: Our Organic Cacao Powder is on the lower side of the scale for cadmium and lead and we are proactive about only producing cacao powder that is low in these as possible. As most brands do not disclose their levels of cadmium and lead, it can be difficult to compare. **Q: Is this fermented?** A: Our Organic Cacao Powder is produced from fermented and sun-dried Criollo cacao beans. **Q: Is this ceremonial grade cacao?** A: Our organic cacao powder has 10 - 12% cacao fat content due to most of it being removed by cold-pressing the cacao mass. As Ceremonial Grade Cacao has all of the fat intact, our organic cacao powder is not Ceremonial Grade Cacao. **Q: Is this product raw? I cannot find it noted on the bag.** A: Our Organic Cacao Powder is a Raw product - It is sun-dried, unroasted and cold-pressed without temperatures exceeding 104 degree F throughout the production process. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this! *by H***B on August 11, 2024* I make a wonderful hot morning drink which includes Zeal Superfoods Organic Cacao Powder - Raw, Heirloom Criollo, Top 8 Allergen-Free, Cold-Pressed. I’ve gone through so many over the years. Always with a little reaction. Eventually they would affect my adrenals. My hair would become flyaway. And start falling out. This cacao did not affect me adversely at all. And I love the flavor. Not to mention it’s organic and not over processed. So glad I found this brand. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/360001854-zeal-superfoods-organic-cacao-powder-raw-heirloom-criollo-top-8](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/360001854-zeal-superfoods-organic-cacao-powder-raw-heirloom-criollo-top-8) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
