Need For Speed: Underground 2 - PC

I have owned a minimum of 10 different copies of this game, for XBOX, PS2, PC, GC, any platform I could find of it. I always have loved this game. The only problem with mine is that the seller gave me the UK version, which exchanges the beautiful Honda Civic and Acura RSX Type-R, the two cars I love the most from the game. FAIL SAUCE. Other than that, buy this game if you are thinking about it, you won't be disappointed. This holds true even if you aren't a big racing game fan, even a few different girlfriends have gotten into it. (Protip: letting them win a few races gets you some action, and I'm not talking about behind the wheel;) WINNING)

This is really nice I got it set up with my Windows 7 system really well with 0 issues. Though I didn't know I was getting a u.k version. I am going to keep it thought simply because the only difference is that the honda civic is replaced with something else and the acura rsx isn't there and best buy is some other store. So I am going to keep it and now I get to play the game I haven't played in forever.

UPDATE: It works with nVidia 3D Vision, need for speed underground 2 is 3D fully capable ! You really feel the coolness of drive by night. This is my favorite racing game ever. Some people will find that the game crashed in windows 7. But that's is easy to fix: To fix this issue, just select "application controlled" in your graphic card setting, at properties of the program "speed2.exe or its shorcut", go to compatibilty tab, choose -Windows XP SP2- and -Run as administrator-. All the features will be available, even the anisotropic filtering of the textures (pavement looks ugly without it). You don't have to go back to windows xp, neither install some virtual machine to run it. Microsoft said that the game doesn't work on Windows 7, but that's not true since I'm playing it at all its glory. I forget.. Probably you'll need to kill the process speed2.exe the first time, and then open the program. I hope this would help someone.

this is one the best racing games in need for speed history. I don't like the new need for speeds and their online based system that just puts you in competition with your friends. I prefer the old street racing and designing cars system from the underground series and the original most wanted. won't even buy the new one. I will continue to play nfsu2 for a long time to come. the drifting is the best part of the game. I could drift all day long. I definitely recommend this game

Works under wine on Arch 64 bit with minimal fiddling around with a Logitech Gamepad for any weirdos like that out there trying to do that. Game just like I remember it. Very, very occasional crash but with frequent autosave no biggie.

Bought in USA. Game periodically freezes during loading. I figured later that this is australian or british version. Love the game though

When we can have a controller connected to a PC, why can't the program run the same as on an Xbox? When using the Controller you have to use the Enter key on the keyboard to start races and accept challenges. I loved the old game on Xbox but they did a poor job releasing this on PC.

Worlds awesome game ever built in 2004 and still crazy and gone mad about it, i am very much happy that i purchase original copy. It worth playing. some of compatibility issues are there. But overall it is one of the best game i played. When i started i could not stop playing, it is very addictive. Graphics are very good, it is felt like real.Sounds and Tuning of Cars felt real. Every car performance is different to other like handling, speed and acceleration. Each car in the game is unique performance and tuning to their different types races. Musics are also one of the best selected to each situation while start of the game, while exploring city, and racing. Celebration, Give it All one of my favorite. I enjoyed lot to explore the game and city of Bay view. There are lot to do in game like visiting various shop to customized or built own car to look and perform to the best. There should be more shop require in game for interior of car. i am looking for more high resolution quality copy for the same if it's fit my budget like this one.This game has lot to learn about cars for those who fresher or not interested in car. It also create my interest in high quality GAMING PC selection in both hardware and software. i think EA should launch this game with same graphics but for newer compatibility of PC like Windows 7 and 8 with extra race tracks and even bigger place to drive and race. But this game is also one of the best collection for me.

i remember playing this as a kid it was the best everyone need for speed after the first most wanted suck it took month to get here but it was worth the wait
