FIXED MY MICROWAVE! I was happy to discover, like other reviewers, that the received magnetron was labelled as from LG and "made in Korea" (vs some China or no name). I do slighly worry about the code that has a prefix of '2012' (is this magnetron really 13 years old?), however, after installation everything worked perfectly. My microwave is an GE Profile JE1860GB. It was manufacturered in 2001 and came with the house. So yea, good job GE..this product lasted 24 years! I am happy that this part resolved my failure, as since this microwave is long discontinued if the repair was unsuccesful I'd be forced to purchase a new microwave + a new installation kit (why cant they keep them common?).. or pay a repair guy. Either option is several, several hundred dollars. Unfortunately, like always, when the microwave failed (would turn on, interior light ON, rotate the food -- simply just wont heat) at an in-opportune time. Since the food was not heating, the most likely culprit is the magnetron. The swap itself is easy, although take care to discharge the High Voltage capactitor using an insulated set of pliers. My microwave does have a bleeder resistor -- but, you can never be to safe. Oh yes, also check your microwave case for security screws; they are torx bits with a center nib. Lucky for me, I had a set of bits that handled those no problem. If you dont have these, you can prob use pliers or simply buy an inexpensive set. Removal of the magnetron is straightforward; it's held in by 5 screws and one pull out (main) connector. The new unit swapped perfectly into the olds spot. Functionality restored! Pictures show BEFORE (my old magnetron) and AFTER (new magnetron). I cant yet say if this magnetron will last as long (24 years?) as my original. We'll see. Good job Suzier and Amazon on having this part available at a reasonable cost and quick (1 day) delivery! This is why I keep coming back to Amazon!
