I am obsessed with this light wand! I have been doing photography for almost 15 years and I have always loved the idea of having the ability to quickly and easily add a pop of light into a photo or video. I have used light wands in the past that require their own special battery and charger and run out of battery life really quickly and were more expensive than this and it had left me feeling like they aren't worth the hassle. I decided to roll the dice on thislight wand and try again because I love the idea and it's so affordable. I'm so happy I decided to try it.. It's easy to charge, it has a good battery life, the light is pretty powerful for what it is, it's small and light, and I like how you can change the colors and temperatures on it. You can use it for so many different things. I included a video where the light wand is reflecting on the wall and you can see some of the different colors and brightness of it. I plan to get a second light!!

This ULANZI light wand is an absolute game-changer. For its compact size, the amount of power and versatility it offers is just incredible. The full RGB spectrum and the wide 1800-9000K color temperature range allow me to dial in the perfect lighting for any mood or scene, from warm and cinematic to vibrant and creative. The build quality is solid, and the included diffuser creates a beautiful, soft light that elevates the look of my videos and photos. I will be comparing this to the VL119 since that is the only other Ulanzi wand I have, and they're listed in the same product listing. The B15RGB is overall a good light - very bright especially in Overdrive mode, but has some minor setbacks. Concerning the weight, It is a bit heavier than the VL119. I'm guessing due to the larger battery. In HSI Fast or Slow effect mode, the colors have a lower resolution compared to the VL119 on the same mode at brightness below 20%. You will notice larger "steps" between the colors and this is also true for RGB mode. At higher brightnesses, there is more color resolution. The RGB mode on this light has features to change hue and brightness of the light, but it does not have a setting for the saturation of the color unlike the VL119 despite seemingly operating on the same controller\software. I'm not sure why these features are not consistent but it would be nice if we could update the onboard firmware to include this feature. But I don't even see this product listed on the Ulanzi website anymore leading me to believe it was discontinued and is just being sold until it's gone - but that's just an assumption. Bootup time from power on is faster than the VL119, and the control wheel makes adjustments VERY fast and convenient. I like the push-and-hold power button rather than the slider switch for turning on the light compared to the VL119. I operate my VL119 in a dark nightclub environment and it's hard to remember which button. On this B15RGB, you have a power\mode button, and the wheel that also presses in to switch what function it is changing. It's a much more simple and efficient process. The magnets, while convenient in theory, are not very strong so take caution when using them. Your light may slide on a slippery metal surface. The removable diffuser is interesting, but it doesn't come with any other diffusers or modifiers so I'm not sure of the purpose. The undiffused lens is still kind of frosted/textured, but not as much. Due to the ventilation holes, I would not risk using this light in inclement weather. I can't comment on battery life since I just received the light, but I expect it to be pretty long at low brightness with the large battery on board.

Not a big deal once you know, but it’s worth noting to avoid confusion. Battery life is surprisingly good. Picked this LED handheld for a trip to the desert to do an amateur photoshoot. Most LED light bars are over $100 with features I really do not care for. This one's biggest concern to me was the battery life, which for me has been better than any of the reviews I have read. This handheld produces a ton of light, can be threaded into a tri-pod, tons of simple controls and modes... amazing product for the price. Super light and comfy to hold.

I bought this despite some bad reviews and I’m glad I did. It delivers great value for the price, I will test it on a product video shoot this week but honestly I think is pretty cool! Obviously this is meant to be a fill light, that being said I’m satisfied with the brightness. It can operate plugged to electricity or with the built in battery, it came pre charged with a full battery and it lasted a bit over an hour using the “party” settings which is ok, most lights at this price point won’t last too long. It seems delicate but not flimsy and the manuel clearly states that you should not drop it to avoid damage, I take care of my equipment so it’s not a deal breaker though sometimes accidents happen! Lets see how it performs over time but for now I’m satisfied.

Amazing, full RGB range of colors + natural warm and cold lighting and SOS lighting as well, works wonderfully. It’s really well built and I really love the ¼ screw connection, and the fact that it’s USB-C. I don’t need to use it at hundred percent all the time so it runs really long.
