The american heart association has changed the blood pressure guidelines and stages , please update and i will buy asap

The AHA did change the guidelines but reading material, textbooks and testing answers still adhere to the old guidelines. The goal is to detect a possible hypertensive person before it gets out of control and to try to maintain healthy numbers naturally before prescribing medications. Since everyone is different lots of doctors do and don't adhere to the new guidelines depending on the patient. Always ask the facilities policy about the BP guidelines within the facility and follow that policy.
