Review: Great paint brushes - I had bought a set of Purdy paint brushes from Home Depot when we were painting our basement, and after painting several rooms and doing lots of trim work, the 1 1/2" paint brush was tired and the bristles were starting to fan out too much. Wanting to maintain a complete set, I bought this single brush to go along with my existing 2" angled brush and 3" flat brush. The Purdy paint brushes all worked well, painting smoothly with comfortable handles. I do find if the paint gets up near the ferrule, it can be nearly impossible to clean, which then causes the bristles to fan out and ultimately become useless. I would have given this brush 5 star if it weren't so expensive. I ended up paying $16, while Home Depot had a 3 piece set with brush comb for just $25.
