Why have you changed the formula, redefining it as better (NOT), when there is less protein and less meat with harsh peas added ?

This person is CORRECT! Any kind of PEA is not good for cats or dogs. Lentils not good either! Our pets lifespan has shortened over the century or so manufactures need to provide us with better food so our pets can live with us longer. Our pets are like family members we want them around as long as possible!

Why do you add menadione sodium bisulfite complex to your food? i'm switching brands to nulo.

Hi there- When we updated our packaging in 2017, we increased the amount of fish ingredients in many of our recipes as a natural source of essential fatty acids. With this, we were required by AAFCO to increase our Vitamin K levels. The best way to provide the Vitamin K required on a consistent basis, while also maintaining a high level of meat ingredients that meet our raw nutrition philosophy, was to use Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (MSBC), the only Vitamin K3 supplement that has no objection for use in pet food by the FDA. Because the level of naturally-occurring Vitamin K varies drastically in other natural ingredients, we supplement our food with Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex to be compliance with AAFCO’s new rules and to guarantee the we are providing the correct level of Vitamin K at all times. We only use it in the recipes where it is necessary due to the high amount of fish ingredients!
